My last stay was really great. The new room are very nice and stylish. The food in the restaurant is relly great as always. Stuff is nice and helpful. Needed to leave super early and they made me breakfast according to my schedule. New rooms have AC which is nice too.

Good as always

Recommended by my hotel. Traditional Austria fare presented elegantly and with care. The menu is in German but all the staff are willing and very capable of explaining each dish. Amuse Bouche and Chef surprises adds to the meal. Overall excellent. Would recommend even though a little out of the way - well, just a short taxi ride

A meal in Saltzburg

We enjoyed our stay here. Particularly the delicious help yourself breakfast which had lovely bread, cheese, cakes and eggs to enjoy as well as other things. We found the location was good for getting to the train station easily (15 min walk). Bus Links are good here to get to the train station if you have luggage and also to inner Salzburg. The hosts were very welcoming. We reserved a table in the restaurant and were seated in the lovely garden for our meal. The vegetarian option was a 3 course set menu for €28 pp. which we also enjoyed. We would have liked other options for vegetarian main courses but understand there might not be a lot of call for this in the area. Overall a very comfortable stay. 

Cosy stay, great breakfast. 

This place feels like near to main station but actually its not very near, its about 900 mtrs walk from main station 🚉 
But there are 2 bus stops about 200-300 myrs walk which takes you to main station
Bus 23 is from closest bus stop and then bus 3,5 were from 2 blocks away( a little walk of 350 mtrs)
The rooms were beautifully decorated but were too small, we had 3 luggages and it was difficult to walk with them around even bathroom was also very small but manageable. The view was nice from room and they were quite cozy also, had few amenities but misses basic amenities like kettle or tea coffee in room. There was a restaurant down below in the property but we never had lunch or dinner there, we had breakfast included in our package so we had breakfast there, but there is nothing cooked in breakfast. It was struggle for us in morning to choose between few only options we had there 😣
But the host was so sweet he saw that on first day and asked us if he can help, we told him to if he could get some toast for us. He did this in his kitchen himself daily for 3 days for us and to my surprise everyday toast were just perfect never too less never more, perfect golden brown 🤩

He was quite generous and took lot of effort for our stay to be comfortable. So it was good stay and i enjoyed salzburg 🥳

Small rooms with excellent host 🙃

When I booked, I assumed that with an address of Bahnhofstraße 15 ( no. 15 Station Road) the Hotel would be, well, by the station! But it was a 15 minute walk away. 

I had booked a small double room -it was quiet and functional and the bed and pillows were excellent. 

The shower did not have a mixer tap, so you had to adjust the hot and cold quite frequently to avoid being frozen or boiled! 

Downstairs they have an excellent restaurant. I had a starter of mixed marinated and smoked fish that was delicious. I then had their “farmer’s Chicken”, which was breaded, fried chicken. The meat was beautifully moist, although the portion was too big. I had a glass of house Grüner Weltliner white wine and a glass of house Franken red. Both were excellent. 

In the morning, I had their very good buffet breakfast. The “rough dark rye bread of the region” was wonderful. 

All in all, a very comfortable stay, and worth the unexpected walk!

An enjoyable stay, but a 15 minute walk from the station

Had an overnighter in Salzburg after arriving in Munich by plane.  We really only needed somewhere to lay our heads after 20 hours of travel, as well as an afternoon at Augustiner Braeuerei.  This was on the money.

Reasonable price (Wotif) including breakfast.  We are not hotel chain people, and love the attention that Austrian Gasthofs and Inns provide.  This was a 10min walk from Salzburg train station (a cab would not cost that much, but we like the walk).  Not difficult to reach at all.  We were welcomed by the restaurant staff, who arranged our keys and room details.  NB. NO LIFT.  We had one suitcase, so no real bother with stairs.

Room was not large, and 2 suitcases would make this interesting.  Room was very clean and had all we required.  Bathroom stall is not so large either, but for overnight this was not an issue.  WIFI was easily connected and strong signal.  We had a room by the street, but no noise issues.  We did notice a beergarden of sorts under the window, but no custom while we were there due to poor weather (this may be a restaurant eating area in good weather).

Breakfast was well catered, all the usual Continental buffet fair.  This is a Gasthof, so if you are looking for Hot breakfast, this is not for you.

11am checkout was welcomed, and left us with ample time to catch our onward train.

If you are travelling light, or merely overnighting, this place is perfect.  If you are visiting the area for an extended period, perhaps a little more room may be preferable.

Right price close enough to town

We stayed here for one night in the middle of August
It’s about 800m from the train/bus station and shops - short walk alright if you have a small amount of luggage
Our room overlooked a noisey busy street and train tracks (no good if your a light sleeper or wanted peace and quiet)
No elevator so we had to carry our bags up and down 3 flights of stairs
Room pictures on the internet are a little misleading, room was old and worn but alright if your looking for a night to lay your head
Room itself reasonably clean
We got a pillow from the cupboard in the middle of the night in the dark to realise in the morning that it had no cover and was yellow with old sweat (gross) 
Shower needed a good clean, quiet mouldy
They had a small tv but only really a news channel in English 
No air conditioning just a small fan and the shutter on the outside of the window meant you could only get a half window breeze so was a bit hot but not unbearable
Breakfast was included which we liked and the courtyard was lovely to enjoy eating breakfast in 
Staff were friendly and polite
