This beautiful and cozy family run establishment was beyond our expectations. 
The rooms are spacious , the decor is typically Austrian and has a lot of character. What stood out for us was the care and attention to detail the owners and staff take. No request was too much trouble. The evening meals were a real treat . A delicious 3 course meal and a salad bar . I would strongly recommend this treasure to anyone.

Charming hotel with the most caring staff

Facilities and location of the hotel and the food was great, but I would strongly advise not to visit with children as the staff is just annoyed by them. No one in the hotel had a nice word or a word at all to our kids. After they (1 and 5 yrs old) were playing and moving through the restaurant the waiter just cursed because of them. After I asked him to be more nice he called me a clown and just went away. Landlord was not more emphatic neither and told me "to get her some proper employees if I'm not satisfied". In my opinion this is not acceptable for a hotel at this price.

Nice hotel, terrible staff

Great location as this is the closest hotel the Pitztaler glacier. The trip there either takes a ten min walk or a 5 min bus ride (which stops in front of the hotel). The way back is even better because you can glide home on a ski way. Food in general is good. Nothing fancy, good breakfast buffet, decent dinner. All the other elements are average at best. Rooms and bedrooms are old (but clean), spa is crowded, gym requires a key to be picked up at reception (for a 4 star hotel? really?). All items I could live with. Problem comes with the service .. as long as you as guest don't require anything different than the service levels set by the management you are fine. From the moment you deviate (extra towels, problems with dinner timings, drinks, ... ) the staff does not know how to behave. In the end I don't believe this is the fault of the staff but how they are instructed. Mentality is not customer first but hotel management first. Summary: would i recommend to people who want to go to Pitztaler glacier .. yes. But don't expect 4 star customer first oriented service 

Great location, good food .. average on all the rest

I've stayed here only one night and I loved it. The room was spacious, nice decorated and with a modern bath. Extremely quiet and but good located for skiing or hiking tours. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing with fresh milk from local farmers, big choice of meat, cheese, jam, Müsli, and everything else you can imagine for the breakfast. Definitely would like to come back.

Beautiful

Hotel room could use an update, but room was big and quiet. Dinners were ok, nothing special, but staff was great. Used the spa a bit, not a luxury experience. Hotel located a bit of a walk from apres ski area, but close to the ski are parking. Probably a shuttle in high season but not in Oktober.

Skiing in October

Pitztal is a very very small town and this hotel provides a peaceful family experience. Yes Peaceful and children in the the one sentence. Kids, run outside and play on the snow in a safe environment, but also the kids room. Extremely close to the Glacier and a 5 minute ski trip along a flat-ish run to the town where you get the lift to another great number of pistes. Very helpful staff.
