We have just returned from Chalet Mur and cannot thank Clare and Ben enough for making our skiing trip the success that it was. There is nothing that they won’t do for you to make your stay enjoyable. Skiing with children can often be stressful but they pride themselves in making you feel as relaxed as possible with all the help and information you need. The lounge is lovely and cosy with a nice big stove. Our bedrooms were very spacious with nice en-suites. There is a ski bus stop just 10 steps from the boot room providing access to the various resorts - they can also take you to some of the less accessible areas with their bus. Clare is a great cook and baker - the food was amazing and so were the cakes in the afternoon. You will never go hungry that is for sure! This is our 3rd trip and you can understand why a lot of their business is repeat customers. Thoroughly recommend.

Another excellent holiday

Clare, who owns Chalet Mur, goes beyond normal service levels. Her main concern is that you are having an enjoyable holiday, and to ensure this nothing is too much trouble. The Chalet  is comfortable, and a place where you can relax and unwind with other guests after a day on the piste. There is a bus stop right outside the Chalet with regular services to all the local charming ski resorts which make up the Lungau domain.   The room we stayed in was spacious and warm with a good sized ensuite bathroom.  All the food at breakfast and dinner was of a high standard and the complimentary afternoon cake was something to look forward to once the ski boots were removed for the day. Recommended.

First Class Hospitality

This is not my first visit to Chalet Mur and it will not be my last.  It truly has become a home from home for me.  This trip, I brought a friends teenage twins with me for their first ski holiday.  Clare and her team helped make the boy's first ski trip a massive hit.  They looked after us as if we were family and nothing was too much trouble.  I simply love being at Chalet Mur and I can't wait to come back.  In this crazy world, Chalet Mur is a sanctuary of wonderful food, near empty ski runs and wonderful wonderful people.  I cannot recommend Chalet Mur highly enough.  Trust me, you will love it.

It's a very cozy, relaxing and welcoming house. We've only been here one night on the way back, but we felt very, very comfortable.

We had a great time in the chalet with good food and chat. Enjoyed exploring the local area -stunning scenery with something for everyone.

Chalet Mur - dream team/dream holiday! 

The very friendly hosts of the house, Claire and Ben, welcome their visitors with warmth and openness, are very relaxed, which immediately applies to anyone who finds shelter in the house. The atmosphere is familiar and very pleasant. Breakfast, for example, is served with a lot of love - as part of the family.. The two speak English and German, a little Spanish.. in any case, the hosts are always there for information, entertaining of course, have tips and advice and take care of one immediately. The (the) room is furnished enough. There is also a lot of books and DVDs, cards etc. in the house to choose from (questions, of course). We can only recommend a ticket, a ticket, etc. There is no WLAN, there is no WLAN, etc.

Night with flair

We have just come back from superb skiing holiday and we stayed at Chalet Mur and ,for us, this Chalet made our holiday!
This was our first chalet experience and we certainly will be returning to Chalet Mur as you simply could not fault it. The amazing food (seriously good food - thanks Clare, my post christmas diet has been ruined :):) ), cosy rooms, brilliant company, tea and cakes in the afternoon (just what is needed after a day on the piste), the relaxed atmosphere, the pick up and drop off at the airport, the stunning location ....the list goes on and on. 
Ben and Clare go out of their way to make you holiday that extra special and we can't thank them enough for it. Ben helped us too with the ski hire, ski school and passes which we sorted shortly after arriving which set us up ready for the following day.

Put it simply, the Chalet is one of those places that, once you've found it, you won't need to search for another place ever again. Can't wait to return

Chalet Mur made our holiday!

We travelled as a big family group, including our 4 year old & 8 month old.
Clare & the team really did make our Christmas completely magical. The food was excellent. The vibe was wonderful, it really was like being home from home.
They accommodated every wish & hope and  the Christmas we just had will really be one for the memory banks.
To quote our 4 year old “it was the best, when are we going back?”

An excellent Christmas!

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Chalet Mur.  The chalet is a very warm and welcoming place to stay and your hosts will always go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is extra special.  Clare's food is divine and I can honestly say that there is absolutely nothing that could be improved.  We loved every minute and can't wait to come back.

Fantastic stay

Found this 'gem' of a chalet by accident as was originally going to stay in Katschberg at the 'Cristello'. However due to awful customer service from the reservations dept at the Cristello I looked elsewhere and struck gold at Chalet Mur.
Travelled with my 8 year old son and this was our first chalet experience. The chalet is as described on the website. Very cosy and welcoming. Spotlessly clean. Clare's cooking was excellent, varied and plentiful. She couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable and content. She's a marvelous host and we were both thoroughly spoilt.
Ben both collected and dropped us at the airport which is an awesome part of the package. He organised ski hire for us. The equipment was top of the range and brand new. He even got us a discount. He also works locally as a ski instructor and knows the region and it's skiing inside out. He really went out of his  way to help us both out on the slopes. Much appreciated Ben!
Also big shout out to Chris and Adam. Great work fellas!
These guys absolutely go that extra step for their guests. That's why we'll be back next winter!
