Rode bikes from Passau to Vienna and stayed for one night in the Pension Martha.  Great location, friendly staff and nice and spacious rooms with bike parking and repair tools.  Breakfast was included and it was the typical Austrian breakfast.  Was the perfect meal before heading out again on the bikes.  

There are restaurants close by and the public pool was a short bike ride.  It's right off of the Passau Bike Trail.

A Great Hotel in Grein for Bikers

This was a lovely inn. It started with a check-in with Christine, who was so friendly and helpful to us (as were all the staff). The rooms were large and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with a home made taste to many of the items. We really enjoyed our stay here. Try to tour the old town theatre in Grein, it is fascinating!

Probably the nicest stop on our Donau reg. Charming small town, lovely hostess (owner), antique guest house with great bike amenities, bike store across the street - every thing you need on your ride.

Charming pension in a quaint setting.

We stayed here as part of our bicycle trip the hotel is fairly small you enter through a small court yard which also serves as the storage area for the bikes the hotel is entered from there the lady that received us who i think is also the owner is full of energy and pep and gave us a warm welcome explaining that we should go have dinner early as most places close early because the season has ended she suggested a few spots the one we ate was just down the road and the food was spot on. The actual pension itself is a few buildings joined together giving it a disjointed feel there are small steps which cause a tripping hazard there is no elevator so you have to carry your cases up a flight of steps not a thing to look forward to after a hard days ride. Breakfast was pretty basic with not a lot of choice i left feeling hungry not ideal when there is another long bike ride ahead. For people arriving by car i do not know if there are parking spots i suggest you check before you go. Oh by the way you are assigned a breakfast table according to your room number a practice we found in other Austrian hotels as well.

Austrian to the core

We stopped here during our cycle ride down the Danube and had two rooms. Mine was on the first floor above the covered,  outdoors seating area. Unfortunately this meant that the voices of those staying up late chatting in this space rose into my room. There were also some inconsiderate guests who had their television on and their window open into the courtyard. Despite being tired I barely slept a wink all night - I heard the church clock strike all the hours and quarters. The room was clean, well-equipped, of a very good size and the bed comfortable. Shower pressure and temperature both adequate. Breakfast consisted of a reasonable range of items and the staff were very attentive.

Homely pension in lovely town

we stayed in this place for one night while cycling along the danube it was fantastic the owner was wonderful so helpful and friendly the breakfast was  amazing with a  great range of product excellent service and very good quality for money
