My friend and I were there, as well as our families. The hotel is located in the middle of the village, is clean, very nicely furnished and has very friendly owners. A clear further recommendation for all those who want to spend a great holiday!!!! THANK YOU for the wonderful time! We will definitely be back!😊

Beautiful apartment, completed renewed, fully provided by furniture, kitchen tools etc., absulutely tailored for 4/6 people. Cosy atmosphere, close to the center of the town and to the U station. Very suggested

We reserved places and went to have pasta dinner in the restaurant of Hotel Garni Sonnhof.  The restaurant seemed to be very much liked because it was crowded every evening.
The service there was fast and really excellent and our Alla Pastora and Serfauser Nudla meals were very tasty and the portions big enough after a skiing day.
Exceptional was that when we had to wait 5 minutes for our table, the restaurant offered us the drinks freely, we had the big bottle of mineral water.
As we came to the restaurant we were greeted with the "Herzlich willkommen!" and when we left the restaurant we were again greeted with "Danke schön und willkommen wieder, schönen Tag noch!
We really go there again if we travel to Serfaus.

We opted for lasagna, only the dish was hot, the rest was just warm, too much cheese, we don't recommend the product.

Very disappointing to run away

Average breakfast pension with a decent breakfast. Pizzeria in the house. Overall, a little in the years but clean and effortful. Close to the village subway station church. So in 6 minutes at the elevator and depot. Popular also with the Dutch, who depending on the season make up about a third of the tourists.

I'm going to be skiing in Serfaus.

The Hotel Garni Sonnhof is located right on the village railway in the middle of Serfaus. Unfortunately, the hotel is already older and it has probably not been renovated for a long time. Our room was right next to the elevator and was therefore still very noisy. The view went directly to the opposite hotel - so it was practically absent. In all the corners of the hotel there are things (potted goods etc.) and unfortunately it smells a bit like the next door haystack. Breakfast was in order and the staff was friendly.

Required renovation

We had 35 people in the sunyard and were very satisfied. The breakfast was good and the rooms were good too. We'll be back next year. The location is good right by the driveway and not far from the village train station.

Ideal for our large group

We booked 2 double rooms (Doppelzimmer) apparently 24 m2, but the rooms were so small you could not move correctly. No space, no seating corner. Furniture probably 80s, as the whole "hotel". Oldfashioned bathroom, even poor towels. The doors did not close correctly, only by slamming (as many of the other rooms, you hear it). The doors to the balcony did not close correctly neither. Former it was called "Sporthotel Ideal", you can still see this on the photos at their and many other websites, but there is nothing left of this. There are no facilities, no sauna, no pool, no fitness. There is a poor breakfast, same choice every day, sometimes not fresh (donuts dry when from day before, buns de-frozen, cereals not fresh as they leave them during day and night in the bowls, scrambled eggs terrible). They mention fresh an regional products, but they are not, "Tutti frutti" out of the can, jams cold cuts or cheese from plastic packaging. The owners used to have breakfast with the guests, while some guests would have preferred them to do their job at the reception. Once they came to have breakfast and brought a bag from the bakery for themselves! Nice online photos of a lovely restaurant and some reviews of good meals, but there is no restaurant any more! A bar that is never used, we once had a glas of wine (!) but there was not one guest there in a whole week (as it was not cozy or inviting, no music, cold, fireplace never lit, once even no lights on). The wifi is poor and way too slow. Compared to other hotels (we stayed in Serfaus for 6 times now) it is more than overpriced. We booked because we were late to book for this high season and there was no convenient choice any more.

A trap, be aware

During our skiing holiday we stayed in this hotel. By the way, they had their name changed tot Hotel Garni Sonnhof. The hotel is centrally located in Serfaus. There's no need to take the (underground) Dorfbahn, because it's about a five minute walk to the Seilbahn / lift. The hotel is not too big, offers free wifi and a good breakfast buffet. We had a spacious Comfort room.

Although we enjoyed staying in Sonnhof, it feels a little overpriced. But that's Serfaus, where everything is a little bit more expensive.

The hotel's staff is nice, but the manager is completely overwhelmed with her job. She seems to prefer to run the hotel rather than a country school. The half-board offered could be better described as a necessary food intake. The rooms are small and furnished as in the 1970s. The bathrooms are more in line with the demand of a youth hostel. WIFI is charged at voucher prices. The prestigious hotel bar is only open at the whim of the GF.
