If you’re looking for small village prices and quality, this is the place. The guesthouse has a very large restaurant offering typical dishes at reasonable prices while you breathe in the fresh country air and gaze at the Austrian Alps. 

Everything a Gasthof should be

We were eating at the wilder mann 2 times with our kids. Great traditional austrian food. Meat dishes were especially good. The lady of the house is in her 80´s and still going strong giving everyone excellent service.

Great Austrian food

The Wilder Mann is a restaurant and guesthouse in the village of Tosens, Austria near Landeck.  It’s a tiny and picturesque village, just off the 180 and is perfect for stopping for lunch or dinner.  We thoroughly enjoyed the traditional Austrian dishes that were recommended by the waiter who is part of the Senn family who have owned the restaurant since the 16th century, although things have definitely been modernised, but without any loss of traditional charm.  Its easy to locate as its just across the road for the church, lots of car parking and very competitively priced, although they don’t encourage credit cards.  Worth a visit.

Great and picturesque location with traditional Austrian food.

Hotel conveniently located next to the main road leading to the major ski areas.  Older, clean house, great food, rooms not modern or big, but comfortable.  Bath modern, for an overnight on a drive-thru, worth the money.

Family-run

Didn't stay here but had dinner here with 4 friends. This place was recommended by the owner of the apartment where we were staying and turned out to be a great choice. 
The restaurant is cozy and and decorated traditional Tiroler style. Small tables, lots of wood. 
The old lady who served us was referred to as grandma and I think she has been running the place for a long time. 
Schnitzels were done really great, nice and crispy, well flavored.
