If you want to stay at a place, where you really FEEL the mountain, go there! Amazing place with very nice people (family Klotz and staff) and very good cuisine! We spent there 5 nights, including the best Easter Dinner we have ever had. Love it there and would like to come back in winter and also in summer... it must be wonderful. Real mountain feeling

If you are searching comfy place where the owner welcomes you with the drink and he and his family takes care of you during the whole stay making you fell really like you are their very favourite guest, if you like to go out from the hotel and experience the absolute quiet looking towards the end of the  valley covered by lot of snow especially when the dark comes and also if you are ready to put up with the risk to gain some weight because of the excellent food than this hotel is THE right one. 
On top of that - this is the excellent base for trekking when you come here in sommer.
Nevertheless you must be aware that you drive 25 - 35 min to the closiest ski resort ( Soelden or Obergurgl ) in winter. 
And finally just one " technical" remark / advice - do take the snow chains with you in winter. You will very likely appreciate you did so during last cc 3 km trip from the village of Vent on very narrow road.

Great place in the real heart of the mountains

situated in a quiet corner in the wally, this Gasthaus was one of a best choice for our skiing holiday. Friendly staff, excellent kitchen, super rooms, what else do you need for a perfect holiday? Close to skiarea Sölden, but worth to try the small Skigebiet Vent (2 km), or Obergurgl/Hochgurgl, too!
The Gasthaus is situated at 2014 m, and perfect for summer/spring trips in the surrounding hills.

Super place, friendly staff, super panorama

The village of  Vent ( highest mountain village in Europe ) is very well known to me.
I/we have been there many times and drove from Switzerland over several high passes to Meran and then into/up to Tirol and to the village of Vent.

- I know the owner Hubert Klotz and his wife very well and nowadays his son has taken the helm at Geierwallihof.

- Last time I was there and enjoyed his hospitality and good food I finally made it up to the Wildspitze with the help of a friend of his, a professional mountain guide.

- But we also stayed many times at his first place called '' The Wildspitze '' which was opposite that little and lovely chapel. ( this chapel is still there )

I/we have very fond memories about the customs / food and hospitallity of the Tirolean locals and especially of its jewel '' Vent ''.

My frequent visits to Vent and Geierwallihof!

We spend a week in Geierwallihof which is situated at 2000m height. Nice vieuw on the mountains. Each day a trip is proposed and guided by Hubert, who guides you in a easy way to wonderful spots. In the evening we enjoyed a extensive tasty meal.
