A lovely family run hotel giving a beautiful experience.   Lots of fascinating, quirky items, one of the most comfortable beds we've ever come across.  Room was very well equipped, nothing was too much trouble for the owners.   Good breakfast.  A useful outdoor patio/enclosed garden if you need some fresh air or a smoke.   Very convenient for tram routes 44 and 2 so you can be in the city centre in less than thirty minutes.   A quiet neighbourhood.  A lovely stay, well recommended.

A delightful hotel

Exceptional hotel! Managed by great ladies! We were stayed in two rooms apartment on the first floor - spacious, well equipped apartment. Our apartment was great, mattresses were very comfortable, lots of spaces. Our 11 years old daughter was trilled.
Hotel is a classic, charming place, with touch of Austrian history.
Parking was free (Sunday and public holidays).

Exceptional place!

The staff is amazing, helpful, very hospitable and extremely kind.
The location is near and easy to reach. Very quiet & spacious room with all amenities. Good for relaxing. The breakfast was superb. Value for money is perfect.

Excellent service

We loved our stay from the first minute. This hotel has charme and our room was very unique as well as the breakfast room. Pieces of art everywhere you look. Also the friendliness & help from the staff really exceeded our expectations.

Unique style - Schwalbe

Very old hotel, poorly maintained. Furniture covered with blankets to cover stains, bathroom sink cracked, rag towels. Junk stored in the corridor. 
The worst was that there is no air conditioner in the room, only ventilator. It was so hot we couldn't stay in the room during the day. We asked for any solution (portable cooler, extra ventilator) but were ignored.

Huge disappointment

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Schwalbe for four nights in January. Everything was charming, lovely, and peaceful. The sisters Schwalbe are extremely hospitable and extend a warm welcome to all. Rooms are charming and quiet and breakfast excellent. The business has been in their family for generations. I would visit them again in a heartbeat.

Very happy with stay

What is about this hotel I didn't like - let me think - I LIKE ALL OF IT...
I enjoyed quality of rooms, equipment in hotel is not just to be effective, but shows present woman touch in decoration, equipment and leadership... Not typical high class hotel chain, but in some point even better - building outside and inside better then many hotel chain hotels - it's well kept family hotel...

Food top, staff TOP top, location near center, all public transport stations are near by...

Recommended - for romantic getaway, families, business - everything is there near if U need it... I finally found my hotel for next Vienna staying...

Excellent hotel, fantastic location, top staff...

This is a great place to stay while you are visiting in Vienna. Centrally located and family run- with all of the comforts of home. A large breakfast is included - not the typical cold continental meal. Close to public transportation. It’s quiet, clean and the building is lovely and well kept.  The mother-daughter team are friendly, warm and accommodating hosts. I look forward to returning on my next visit to Wien.

Wonderful stay in Wien!

Old, charming and quiet pensionat with genuine Wiener spirit and tradition. Got a quite large, very nicely decorated and comfortable room with high ceilings. Waterboiler and tea/coffee. Bad wifi. Tiny bathroom. Rubber mat in the bath tub would have been very useful. Also the bath tub was quite high, therefore uncomfortable to get in and out of. 

Breakfast decent, egg dishes served on request. Very friendly and service minded staff all over. Area not interesting but very quiet. 5 min walk to U bahn #3 and tram #44 with rather quick access to city centre
