Among all the negatives the most important was that I had to leave my passport there for the whole period of my stay. I find it absolutely unacceptable as it should be with me all the time. 
Secondly, I don't think this is not even a good value for money as De-luxe room was tiny, with old furniture dating back four or five decades, besides there was no soap in the room.
At 5 a.m. I was woken up by some voices, as I understood later someone turned on TV above or below my room.
Breakfast was insufficient. 
And all of this for 89 euro per night!
This is my tenth hotel in Vienna and maybe the worst. Don't think that the area where it is situated will compensate you for all inconveniences.

I will never stop here again

The place is cheap and realatively central. That's pretty much all the good things that can be said about it. The room is really narrow, the walls are thin, the stuff is not really on top of things - they seem to care little about what's going on. Breakfast is a bit of a joke: bread and jam and some cereals is all you get. One day there was no milk and one day no cereals. Cannot really recomand it apart from the obvious location and price.

Not good

Excellent value for the independent traveler. A tiny atmospheric pension run by a local lady in the heart of the city, right by the main shopping street and within walking distance to many museum. Some rooms have en-suite bathrooms, others don't (my did). Simple, but very well taken care of. Free WiFi works well and the TV is small but flatscreen and offers many channels. Impeccably clean. Heating was also very good, which is not a given in budget hotels in Europe. The building has a narrow elevator (won't work for someone in a wheelchair, but good enough for my bags). I'd come back any time.

Central, quirky, great value

Bit of a mixed bag of a hotel.  That headline point in the title created a very bad first impression. Talk of giving the venue 1 star.  But I said hey give it a chance. 
Also,  we arrived late at night and I'm not overlooking that they let us in (!) But it was in a bit of a random entrance and dark spooky way up. Pretty hard bed with thin pillows and a fair amount of noise from the busy street below. Simple breakfast. Oh and no soap for room sink.  Only one seen in a seperate seemingly communal sink (&blocked bath) room. Oddly sticky carpet over some creaking floor boards 🤔.

On the plus sides the location is simply brilliant.  Best city in the world quite probably, charmed us greatly out and about and the location is ideal right on top of some great things and not far away from many others. 
The staff was also very good and helpful with honest, with keen body language.   Available and happy to help from really early until stupidly late. 

I mainly reckon you'd get higher reviews if you more honestly or clearly state the not always individual toilets in room policy on booking websites.  I can see this is no hostel as such but that's a pretty glaring basic and omission It'd seem,  which would have to knock off at least one star from me and may be worth several to others.

So right to the point:
1. If you want fancy hotel this ISN'T the place. The room had a shower and a sink within, but it's no en suit, it's just there (see pic).

2. Toilet had to be shared with other people. Maybe there was a room that had its own toilet but ours didn't. 

3. The lad who i think runs the place spoke english and was friendly and tried his best to help in any way possible.

4. Breakfast: nice fresh bread rolls, ham, cheese, coffee and tea. Very basic but nice. 

5. The hotel is close to the city centre. There are trams, buses, taxis etc all around it.

6. If you are ine of those people who likes to have everything presented in best possible way DO NOT book a room here.

7. If you are one of those people who just need a place to sleep and expect the hotel to have basics then this IS a place for you.

8. There a cafes, pubs, restaurants etc around the place.

9. It might be confusing with where the entrance is. If you look at the building and see a sign at the edge of the building, just walk to the left and there will be a door you walk through. Go up the stairs and take a lift to 1st floor. That's were the rooms are. The reception is one floor up.
