After nearly a year of the lockdowns and staying at home it was so good to visit the Wachau Valley again... We booked a wondeful room in the newer addition of  the gasthaus and could not have been happier.. tastefully decorated  and loaded with features ( Cnn and BBC on the tv, small kitchen with  fridge  and a REALLY comforable bed...) it was the perfect place to return to after a days walking in the vineyards along  with the   heroic eating and windrinking this area is famous for.....We had our dog Nika with us so we weren't able to rent their e-bikes this vist which are a blast...Cornelia puts out an oppulent breakfast though this time we self catered and enjoyed ours  on our private terrace with its lovely view.. We will certainly be back!

Great to be back!

We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed our stay very much.. We had one of the older apartments but it was certainly big enough for 2 people..to say the least. ( There is a newer addition which is really nice). breakfasts were very good  and it was a pleasure to have them in the garden.. We enjoyed the excellent local wine in the evening on our terrace with its view of the old church and the beautiful hills of the valley.  They offer e-bike rentals which are a blast.. Going up hills is a breeze and you can cover plenty of miles in a few hours.. The bike paths through the vineyards are spectacular.. Our host was very obliging and arranged for early check in  and reservations for Sunday lunch at the excellent Heinzel as well which was very nice.. We will be happy to visit again...( I was happy to find CNN as well!!  )

Great location is a very pretty town.. friendly staff and fun E-Bike rentals

My friends and I stopped in at the local bar and Ava, and Maria invited us to sit with them at the community table.  We enjoyed local wine and apricot schnapps.  The owner invited us into the wine cellar where he shared vintage grappa not on the menu for sale and vintage schnapps.  Great experience, would highly recommend.

Welcoming Owner and Amazing expereince

Good accommodation with large clean rooms nicely decorated and well serviced. Delicious breakfast. Entry to the hotel is a little hard to work out out as there are large double door with signs and note with phone number on them which we took to mean no one was in and we had no phone to call the number. This is not the door though. You need to go to door way in left and up the stairs.
