Our stay was amazing, with the beautiful views, nice cozy room with a beautiful balcony, nice breakfast and friendly people around.. the dog, cats, chickens and cows make it more special ❤️

Nice home, beautiful views, lovely stay

Upon first arriving, we were stunned by the beauty of the place surrounded by beautiful mountains, the host made us at home with her hospitality and we immediately fell in love with Ricco, the beloved dog in the family.  We were immediately introduced by the host to see a very fun outdoor village concert inside Burg Hohenwerfen! The place has a lot of history as well as a lot of family love and dedication. We already consider to come back again !!

Good rest in the peace of the country side, just woke up by the cow's bell and bird's songs, every day a complete breakfast (bread, jam, eggs, coffe, milk..) right from the farm, then wonderful visit to Werfen Castle, to the Ice Cave, to Acquasalza, to Salzburg..  My children have been very happy to see a one day calf, to play in the beautiful garden, to admire the surrounding mountain.. We shall remember forever this fantastic holiday!!

Peace full place, into the gorgeus nature of Salzburg Alps

The farm is located in an excellent location near the junction of a10 and 159 close to Werfen. Yet, it is difficult to find at the first time. We stayed there 6 nights. The hospitality of Mrs. Leinbacher is wonderful but u have to take into account that she does not speak English at all.
The farm is supplied with wi fi . The breakfast is nice. The rooms are very big and very clean.
If u are looking for a farm stay in Salzburg land this is the place for u

We recently stayed at Bauernhof Rettenbachgut and I can't say enough good things about it. It was a great trip for us and our 5 year old daughter. The farm is well situated and close to a lot to do in the area such as hiking, Hohenwerfen Castle, The Ice Caves and Salt Mines. There was never a shortage. But just in case we didn't really want to DO anything, the farm is a beautiful place to hang out, enjoy the animals and relax. They have a great little play area for the kids (my daughter could have spent all day on the trampoline).

The hospitality of the owners was excellent. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and filling. Dairy and eggs come straight from the farm. I am glad (as one of the other reviewers suggests) that we stayed for 6 nights. It allowed us to see the area around, and really get to know the farm. Our hostess even held a "Kaffee mit kuchen" evening (homemade cake and coffee) for all the guests to socialize with one another. We met some other very nice families as well.  We traveled to Werfen by train and did not have a car for the trip. While it would have been easier to get around with the car, we didn't feel stuck without it. The train station is an easy walk (under 2km), and we used the train to go to our daily excursions. There are regular trains northbound and southbound which made it really convenient. Frau Lienbacher was kind enough to pick us up at the train station on our arrival and departure --which made it easier with the luggage.  

Breakfast is included, but lunch and dinner are not. This was not a problem for us as we would eat our big meal out during the day while we were out and about and then do a small "brotzeit" for our evening meal. There is a full kitchen for guests to make this really easy.

All in all, a great, great stay. Very reasonably priced. Good food. Good company. Though it rained much of the time we were there, we couldn't have asked for a better holiday.
