If you want a nice vacation, then you need to go to bauerenhoff Lottermoser in Werfenweng. You feel at home with this family! The apartments are very nice and clean and dogs are welcome to! From there you can make very nice walks in the mountains.

For first time I have chosen a stay at a "Bauerhof". Now I know it was a very good choise. 
Booking:
I have booked the holiday through e-mail, cca 3 months before.  As I speak German, there was no problem for me. As I learnd later, it is possible to use English, however for home people is it more complicated. They have 4 appartments in offer. I have chosen appartment called "Bergblick" (something like Hill view), oriented on the north. Each appartment has a sleeping room, full equipped kitchen and modern bathroom with shower. By confirming they asked me for some info, to issue a "Werfenweng card". I didn´t know what it is, but I agreed, as it was for free :-) The agreeded price for 7 nights for 3 persons was 350€ + 25 € final cleaning.
Arrive:
I traveled by train. From Salzburg You have to find line S3, direction St. Veit and stepp of at station Pfarrwerfen. Now we fully used servises of "Sanfte Mobilität". We just didn´t know that something like that exists. As there is no bus connection to the village Werfenweng, there is a Shuttle instead of them with regular times (it runns from Bischofshofen to Werfenweng through Pfarrwerfen). You have to call them at least 1 hr before (which is transport time from Salzburg to Pfarrwerfen). They brought us directly to the "Bauernhof". We learned, that first ride for Werfenweng card holders is always free (otherwise it is 2,1 €). Although the day we arrived was cloudy, we were surprissed by the beauty of the nature. Owners waited allready infront of the house to take us into the appartment. They just quickly showed us the place and left to give us the time to settle down and take a rest (and coup of coffee). We learned that the bill is to pay by leaving. Although we were in traditional Bauerhof, equipment was fully modern, beds comfortable, rooms big enough for 3 persons. There were 3 beds in the bed room and 1 sofa in the kitchen, which was also comfortable and I believe there is no problem to have a sleep all night long. There was a little bouquet from meadow flowers in a vase, which was very kind. 
By first walk arround we found a small playground for kids, and old wood stowe for baking bread in traditional way and of course stable and livestock.
There is no food included in price, you have the possibility to buy fresh milk, eggs, as well as home made bread (several kinds), marmelade and honey, everything in reasonable prices. You also pay for these at the end.
Possible activities:
You can help by feeding the livestock, cleaning the stables, go with farmers to chalet to milk the cows. Once a week there is a possiblity to help by backing the bread in traditional way, as well as cooking some traditional food, all interesting especialy from "city people". Also You can have a ride on horse-driven carriage. It was just a small course, but still we enjoy it. It offers You a nice view arround (in winter they offer horse sledge rides). 
Offer of the village:
This is most important, impressive and for us most surprissing. Once You have the Werfenweng cards, for just 8 € You can change them to SAMO Card. Then You can enjoy very wide offer of services. 
1. "Ort Taxi" - taxi in the village (from place of stay to centre, to low station of cable way...) is for free. Imagine you live 1km away from the centre. Sometimes it is very helpfull.
2. Shuttle to the railway is for free.
3. Wide offer of disscounts (e.g. Skimuseum, local "swimmingpool", which is a small lake)
4. You can rent for free a car with electric motor, or gas car for just 0,1€/km
5. you can have a fun on some electric driven fun-vehicles for free (1 ride= 1/2 hour).
6. You can rent a bike for free
... and much more.
The card is valid as long as You stay at the holiday there.

There are various possibilities for hiking and biking. The target is always a beautifull sight. Also small natural swimming pool is available, as well as tennis courts, some facilities for children to play, You can try paraglaiding... and much much more.
Also outside the village You have lot of things to do and see. Just put in google Werfen, Hallein... And of course Salzburg.

Remember, also railway has many good offers, e.g. troups of 2-5 people can have a all-day ticket for regional trains just for 32€ (usefull for visiting the Salzburg).

At the end we realised, that 7-night-stay was too short...
