The hotel itself is nicely decorated and looks very nice. I went here on a ski trip with my school, there was 66 of us total. We had the whole ‘hotel’ to ourselves. The pool was nice and the rooms were fine. There was no soap in the bathrooms when we arrived and we were not provided with any for the whole trip. We stayed for 6 nights! Every student on the trip felt the same about the food. It wasn’t good quality and it looked like the food was just thrown on the tray when given to us. The breakfasts was fine but it was the dinner we were unhappy about. There was no table cloths on the tables at all and you had to clean up after yourself and bring over your plates after eating which we didn’t really mind. The food was served to each table on a silver scratched tray and we would take our own amounts off. We got a starter which was a soup or broth with different fillings each day. And the main course. We didn’t get to choose our food as it was decided by our teachers. You can see the quality of food wasn’t good as shown in the pictures below. It’s also in the middle of nowhere and there are no shops or restaurants near by so you have to take a bus to the village. The actual area is gorgeous and the views are amazing. My only problem was the food and staff as they acted a different way around the students than to the teachers. The food was a big disappointment and I will not be returning here.

Ski trip with school

my wife & i have just returned from the gasthof almhof, thierbach, austria,28th dec 2012 untill 06 01 2013, probably the best holiday in a long time, the hotel boasts stunning views, to the mountains, the ski bus also the bummelbahn.(slow leisure train) stop approx 20mtrs from the hotel,we enjoyed the hospitality of the family so much were going back in sept, 2013,very clean rooms, through out, plenty to eat,large dinning area, swimming pool sauna,solarium. skiboot room. a hotel for all seasons, very helpful staff,good walking areas nearby,a very good hotel nothing is a problem to them,
