If you want good company, good food, comfortable big rooms, lovely outside space, reasonable bar prices in a lovely location with friendly owners, wrapped up in a traditional cosy Austrian pension then this is the place for you. If you talk nicely to Thomas he might show you his pet lawn mower. We had a great time.

Gem of a place

Super friendly but not over bearing hosts. Room was really clean. Mainly Dutch guests and a few English when we stayed and we all chatted in the evening around dinner and whilst sat outside. Most people we spoke to had been coming back year after year and I can see why. Walking is literally on your doorstep and there was plenty to do for the whole week. We were lucky with the weather - although it was probably too hot a few days! The summer card means the buses were free and we used them a few times, picture perfect and the views from our room were just the same. Plenty of choice for breakfast, and you chose for the evening meal at breakfast which was always exciting. Meals were well cooked home cooked food - and we were always full. If you want a quiet break in a beautiful Austrian guest house - just book yo won't be disappointed!

Friendly authentic hosts, loved the small guesthouse feel

Pension Enzian is a perfect base to explore the Tyrol region, the hotel and the local area will certainly not disappoint. 

The hotel is very pretty and well kept as is all of the Tyrol region, people are friendly and welcoming and there is so much to see and do in the area. Your hosts Thomas and Martina are brilliant and will look after you. 

Take the Machbachjoch cable car to the top of the mountain for some beautiful well sign posted walks back down, or simply have some lunch and a drink in one of the easily accessible restaurants at the top. 

The Wildschonau area has so much on offer, take the local bus to Auffach with your free card and travel up the Schatzbergbahn cable car and take a walk long the east forest path  to Thierbach for some lunch before jumping on the local hiking bus back to Auffach. 

Thierbach at an altitude of 1150 m is the most idyllic and smallest village in the Wildschönau and also the highest village in the Kitzbühel Alps. Well worth a visit.

Loved every bit it the Tyrol region

Tom and Tina were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The food was simple and filling. There was a great atmosphere in the dining room with everyone sharing hiking stories. It’s in a great location not far from bust stops and the gondola. Highly likely we will be back I hope.

Amazing family run hotel

Just returned from a 2 week stay here, with hosts Thomas & Tina. 
We had the best time, rooms are spacious,  clean and more than adequate and beds are very comfortable. The shower is wow, just hit the button on the head of the shower and you'll give yourself a deep water massage.
Food was plentiful, full range at breakfast 😋  and dinner was always tasty and more than enough, good home cooking. Thomas was always on hand for more drinks which were reasonably priced and Tina was like a ninja cleaning rooms whilst we partake in breakfast.
The views from the  room were spectacular, the village was spotless, plenty to do and with the free card you have nothing more you need.
Highly recommend for an amazing vacation.

Perfect, friendly everything you need

Cannot fault this guesthouse. Room, food and especially the hospitality was great.

Fabulous

Just returned from spending a fantastic week at this wonderful little pension. Thomas & Tina  work so hard to ensure you have the best time. They are both really friendly but aren't intrusive.  Enzian is spotlessly clean, has comfy beds & a great power shower. The food is hearty home cooking, certainly not Michelin Star, but excellent for the amount you pay for half board.  Breakfast is a substantial buffet - breads,hams,cheeses  cereal,yoghurt, boiled eggs,fruit.  Evening meal is 3 courses which you select at breakfast. If I had one criticism, and it's only a very tiny one, is that the WiFi could be stronger. It's very patchy & and non-existent in the bedrooms. Perhaps a booster could be installed? Don't let this put you off booking though, it's a lovely place in a nice little village. The Wildschönau card, which enables free travel  on buses & gondalas within the valley in the summer , really is a money saver.

Little gem

Booked last minute (less than 24 hours before flight!) & couldn’t fault this accommodation. Beds super comfy, rooms have everything required, showers hot & powerful.
Choice from 2 main meals each night & couldn’t fault the food. 
Location is perfect - Spar shop next door for essentials & bus stop to Auffach next to Spar. Alternatively you can cross the road in front of Enzian to access Niederau ski runs. 
My only complaint would be that the rooms & dining area was too warm! Too used to being at home during energy crisis with minimal heating on!

Just back from a great week at Pension Enzian. The hosts of this family run Pension, Tom and Tina, are really welcoming and make you feel at home from the minute you walk through the door. Lots of extra touches such as extra blankets, heaters, shampoo, shower gel, coffee and kettles (available in hallway if required) We stayed halfboard and the food was exactly right for us after a days skiing. Ski and boot room spacious and warm, great area and easily accessed. Our room was also spacious with plenty of storage and comfy beds. Spot on accommodation for a week on the slopes, would  highly recommend  this due to the friendly atmosphere and ideal location.  


Fantastic Find

My husband and I stayed here for a week. Pension Enzian is only a small property with big bonuses! The hoteliers Tina and Thomas are so friendly, they treat you like family. The property itself a picture of timber and flowers. The rooms cosy with excellent power shower with constant hot water.  No air conditioning,  but electric fans provided. Kettles also available, but you need to supply your own tea bags etc. There is a Spar 50 paces away! The breakfast is continental and the coffee superb. The evening meal is 3 courses of which you choose 1 of 2 main courses at breakfast, from the menu. The evening meal is served at 6.30. Every meal was delicious. Every plate went back to the kitchen empty. The 'Pension' is ideally situated a 5 minute walk from the cable cars/village and hiking paths in every direction. The views here are awesome. Will definitely return.
