The breakfast is delightfully presented but without good coffee. The reception is almost never occupied. The smells of the old water/sewer lines are very uncomfortable in the bathroom as well as in the room with the door open. Some steps are packed with broken front edges invite you to fall. The bedding, although clean, is then provided with some holes. For 90 euros double rooms the guest expects more quality. Guests are of mixed ages, however half of them are young families with a mixed up education style, free breakfast & uninterrupted breakfast.

Charmingly overpriced

The house, which has been in the family for 600 years, was taken over by the family itself or the daughter of the owners two years ago and was renovated as a pension Hanslmann. Gina has charmingly renovated the rooms and runs the house very personally and with a lot of charm. The place is beautiful anyway. To highlight is the incredibly fine breakfast, where you are pampered and surprised with a lot of homemade and self-harvested (from fresh bread to vegetables, herbs and marmalades to ricotta).

A wonderful boarding house with a lot of charm

The Hanslmann Pension, as it is now called, is a very special place for an unforgettable holiday with flair. I don't understand the negative criticism below at all, I can only say the opposite of everything. Maybe it's because the hotel was recently taken over by the daughter and completely redesigned. The ambience is friendly and in a way stylish-cozy. The other guests you meet there are interesting people who have something to tell. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, that's why it's worth the trip. On the sun terrace with breathtaking views of the sea you could spend the whole summer. Whoever wants to spend a summer holiday not on 08/15 but in a special hotel, should book overnight here.

Wonderful little hotel on the most beautiful lake in Austria

We stayed at the "Pension Höllerl" (new name is Pension "Hanslmann") and we can NOT recommend it at all:
- although the outside temperature was around 10 degrees Celsius, the heating did not work
- the toilet stank and the WC even contained some "left-overs" from the guests who stayed there before (I have never experienced such a disgusting thing before)
- with 90 EUR for a double room, it is way to expansive for the low standard they are offering
- The interior has probably been built in the 80's - since then, there has obviously no further investment to keep it up to date
