I went with my fiancé for a dinner date.. the food and service were great. Thanks to Nazmul Shakib vai for amazing arrangement!! We love the atmosphere..we enjoyed our evening. Definitely we will recommend others to visit here.We really appreciate their service.

Dinner date review

Westin Dhaka is always my favorite destination to visit. I have been there last week and I have got my preferred room as they knows my preference. I always love their delicious breakfast and try not to missed it. Mostly I love the associates who are always go out of their way to help you and meet your expectations. I have visited many hotels but I would say Westin service is the best. I will visit Westin soon.

Always love to stay at Western

Truly flawless.  Really. 

I am so grateful, having stayed in so many places in my career.  Somehow the hotel in Dhaka goes beyond in every expectation.  The hotel is a Westin; you are in Bangladesh; this hotel is expensive; you should expect service that is at a high level - but this is not at a high level;  the staff and the team, operate with a pride, care and respect that I have never experienced before.  Truly faultless.  I am excited to rapidly grow our business presence in Dhaka, but also to be able to come here regularly.  And working in the Service industry myself - to use this as a showcase of how it should be done...   

But the staff are something else.  To arrive back after 3-4 months away, and find Ali recognises me, by name, at Reception; Tipu (who is extraordinary too) in the lounge commenting "it has been a long time, welcome back!"; to have Raju and his colleague in housekeeping (22 floor) checking that all was OK, and to ask after everything from laundry to my well being (they don't just clean exceptionally);  the restaurant on the 2nd floor has Sheehan remember (the moment he sees me at breakfast) that I liked sparking water and coffee for breakfast - or that he spontaneously brings me warm orange and ginger for my cough...;  or Jubauer to walk me patiently round the buffet, to recommend food and drink - and to arrange all sorts of taster courses... as well as remembering my water, table preferences and so on... to see him visibly torn that a client had dropped a knife (and he wanted to help them) but he was also in conversation with me.... Ishbat should see me carrying far too much food, and immediately take it off me - to the table; arriving back at the end of the day to have Lumon and Ridley recognise and ask (by name) how my day was; to ask after the light switch; and then to find Ridley is that anxious he comes put to show me how to workaround the broken switch...   Even the normally arduous process of agreeing a corporate rate - within 24 hours of the email, Nazmul in sales completed a draft new corporate agreement, met me to review and done his follow-ups!

Thank you to the Manager on Duty, who let me interrupt his dinner (Mr Monowai) - I am flattered (but not surprised) that you should care.   and to the many staff I have not mentioned (duty lounge manager yesterday, remembering I've booked. meeting room, even though he was in reception at the time)... the ....

Outstanding service of westin.They are very prompt and courteous.Excellent experience from the.Staffs are highly professional. I want to give them 10 out of 10.Business centre PC was fast and updated.I able to access very easily to the data.

Westin dhaka staffs

We went to Westin Dhaka for lunch on 8 December 2023 while on a short stopover in Dhaka. The buffet was lavish and the service exceptional. We were treated like guests at someone’s home. Chef Mithun brought over special dishes for us to try like mutton nihari, reshmi kebabs, grilled prawns and ayr fish curry. Another nice young man who waited at our table took great care of us. We had gone to Bangladesh from London to visit Rajshahi where my parents lived before moving moving to India after the Partition. The kind waiter told us that he too hailed from Rajshahi, and we felt instantly at home. The food was incredibly delicious. From mouthwatering roast lamb and sushi to traditional Bengali food, we were stunned by the range and complexity of the dishes. Mithun even offered to buy and pack fish to take back to London. A huge and heartfelt thank you to all the members of staff and also to the lady at the restaurant Reception. One of our highlights of this extraordinary trip to Bangaldesh to trace my family history, was being greeted like family and being fed delicious Bangla food. I would give ten stars to this hotel and definitely stay there next time.

Lavish buffet and exceptional service

We stayed for 3 nights in Westin Dhaka in Feb 2023. In general, Hotels in Gulshan Area in Dhaka are expensive and hence one should be prepared for that. Rates and Taxes are significantly higher in Dhaka, than 5 star Hotels in big cities of India. it was my visit after 13 years to Dhaka. City has not changed much. This hotel is in centre of Gulshan and good 5 star properties. Hotel is a tall building and hence does not have good view. It is a city hotel without any space or greenery. 

Hotel staff is excellent high on service. stayed in a deluxe room. Good lighting in the room. room is ideal for a professional. good comfortable chair for relaxing and good study table with sufficient lighting to focus on work. bed was very comfortable for good sleep.

Hotel had several restaurant and good cuisine. we could order good vegetarian food and there was no problem wrt that. we had food in Prego, their main restaurant and their lobby level coffee shop. all 3 places, good service.

used the gym. good gym with modern machines and good trainer. liked the feel of the gym.

bathroom was large with bath tub and separate bath cubicle. quality of toiletries were decent. felt only one thing - the room cleaning on both days were not great. while bathroom was cleaned well, looks like nobody bothered about the main room at all. 

overall decent stay and nice hotel. will stay again, if i visit Dhaka

one suggestion - ask for rooms at higher floor and close to the elevator.  dont use car if work is in Gulshan area. better to walk. we made a mistake of hiring car and it take less time to walk than to go in car.

3 Night stay- official visit

Pretty place every time for me, whatever i want every time i get it here.excillent cocktail menu what ever I like most of liquor available at prego.. some good people working here because they know my choice & treat me as usual I like to a familiar.. recommended place 🙂

The Hospitality at the Westin is really what sets it apart. One of the best 5 star hotels in Dhaka with International standards and local hospitality. I was there for a short business trip but some of the highlights included - 
-Very comfortable rooms (Westin standard beds, pillows and the like)
-A lovely bathroom with bathtub
-Excellent buffet spread with all the works - can’t really ask for anything more 
-Wonderful hospitality overall
A small / big issue with the room I must point out is there are no plug points next to the bed or in fact anywhere! The only plug point I could find was behind the TV! At night when I had to charge my phone I had to put it behind the TV. This is something really the hotel needs to look into and address.

Apart from that one nuance a lovely experience. To sum up, a 5 star hotel with truly International standards and delightful local hospitality. Enjoy!

Superb Hospitality

Westin staff is the best, I have stayed in most of the hotels in Dhaka even under BONVOY Marriott WESTIN is cut above the rest purely coz of the kind, loving and caring staff. Be it Reception, security, Restaurant, lounge the staff will ensure you are taken care of.

I would like to mention about Tipu who happens to take care of their executive lounge, he is more like a buddy, ensuring all of our needs are taken care of and makes us feel comfortable. It’s people like Tipu who makes us select WESTIN as our preferred choice in Dhaka.

Hope the hospitality, care, affection …… it continues the way it is.

Staying for a third time helps staff remember your name and all, but everyone working here genuinely wants guests to be as comfortable as possible. After a hectic day of meetings (not to mention the traffic), being welcomed back with a big smile from the doorman, to the security staff, cleaning ladies, and bellboys, really helps to wind down for the day.

All this and not to mention that the hotel is in the middle of everything - with dozens of restaurants to choose from (not to mention the restaurants' in-house) and shopping options both local and international.

The club lounge staff were especially helpful and even bent over backward to accommodate me after check out when waiting for my ride to the airport.

There was a few issues on the power - apparently, there were outages during the night, but this is Dhaka, and therefore most likely not the fault of the hotel.

This wasn't my first time, but there is always a reason for me to repeat staying here, and certainly will not be the last time I choose the Westin as my home in Dhaka!
