Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and will ever stay also. It was recommended by friends and family from Khulna, but it is not what it probably used to be. 

First of all, there is not ample parking spaces. Cars had to be parked outside with fear of getting stolen. Next the hotel furniture are all dirty and dusty. There were layers of dust in sofas, tables, chairs and also in Almira and other stuffs. 

The worst of all was the geyser system. The hotel doesn't have proper water heating system. During this cold winter I had to take shower in cold water. My mom, dad, wife and kids too. We took 4 rooms and none of the rooms had heating system. 

It is probable the also hotel who takes 300 taka per person per hour for using swimming pool and jacuzzi. Not that it has the best pool and jacuzzi in the world. It actually is very petty. But still they charged it. And the charge could have been justified if the pool and jacuzzi were clean. It was sticky, slippery and not at all maintained.

I am never going to stay here again and also not recommending anyone for it too.

Worst hotel of Khulna

Completely disappointed. It was my business meeting. Order some food during meeting, but the accompaniments along with the food was missing. Asked for it. Unfortunately got an answer from the Manager that we don't serve it. Being a reputation Hotel never expect such kind of answer. I was planning to put further meeting but dropped that idea due to their silly behaviour. I will never recommend to any one to visit this olace😔🙁😕😟

Business Meeting

This is our second stay in this hotel after 5yrs. The stay was really good, no complaints except that they provide rug like blankets (which has fur). I’m allergic to fur and they couldn’t provide comforter. Otherwise everything was good. Loved the ‘Faluda’ there (my husband had it everyday during the stay). The room was quite big and clean,washroom was quite clean too. The stuffs were helpful and the front desk stuffs were efficient and friendly too.

It was a wonderful stay

Visited this hotel with a group in 2019. Everything was efficient and the room was spacious and clean. We ate in the restaurant where the service was great and the food good- excellent portions and good value. Breakfast the next day was fine. We enjoyed the rooftop pool (which you need to pay for...)


Nice Hotel in Khulna 

The hotel is a good place to stay in Khulna. It's right on the main drag, so walking about is much fun. The restaurant has delicious food, especially the  Chicken Jafroji,  the garlic naan, and the egg fried rice.

Delicious food in a comfortable hotel

I only stayed one night at the City Inn and found the experience uncomfortable specifically because of the behaviour of a porter. The hotel has a modern and spacious reception area and check in was smooth. I was with a group of 3 other people, all of us in separate rooms. A porter insisted on bringing up all of our bags together although we were on 2 different floors. I apparently spoiled his plan for maximum tips by insisting that he unload my bag and took charge of getting it to the room myself. About 10 minutes later there was a knock on the door and when I opened it the porter virtually forced his way into my room insisting that he had to remove the cover from the bed which he proceeded to do. Checking later with my friends, covers were not removed in any of their rooms so it was definitely an excuse to enter my room. He also picked up medication and asked what type it was and then hung around quite obviously waiting to be compensated. I did not give him a tip and eventually he left the room after saying "I am going now" at least 5 times before actually leaving. I am an older woman and able to take care of myself but had I been younger his behaviour would have been very intimidating. Someone needs to have a serious word with that man.

That incident aside, the hotel is a middle of the road place but with a lovely pool on the roof for which there is an extra charge. What is that about?

Rapacious Porter

Our travel agency booked a three bedroom for us but we found a mattress on the floors. Bed sheets and bed cover where dirty. They changed with clean ones after ours protests. For us the clearness of a hotel is the most important thing. 

Not 5 stars

Given the state of the country, this is not a bad hotel.
The building and the lobby are nice but reception is not very efficient.
The porters bring up your luggage and hang around for tips.
The rooms are slightly faded but clean.
There is free wi-fi, flat TV, fridge, a bottle of water and AC but there is no tea and coffee..The bathroom is ok with body wash etc but the towels look old and off-white.
I had dinner in the hotel. The food was good but the service was bad.
Breakfast was OK with eggs made to order.
Generally, not a bad place.

A Generally Good Hotel in Khulna

Frequent guests are treated like any other guest that comes for the first time.
Room: To have a room with a normal wardrobe to store my clothes, I had to change for a bigger room 1500TK more expensive. This is a reception staff fault, since there are single rooms with big wardrobe and they know that I'm frequent guest that stay during weeks but just don't care. Fortunately there's also good people working there.
Room service: Bad room service. The dishes never come prepared the same way. Today I ordered griled prawn that normaly comes moxed with some vegetables but today came with 13 pcs of french fries. lol. I have a picture of this. Most the times never bring a knife, which for Europeans is mandatory. I called to restaurant to complain but they just don't care.
Breakfast: Very poor choice - The guests that take breakfast at 7h (opening time) don't have the same rights as the guests at 9am for example. I say this, because at 7 they are still preparing most things and many people had to go to work at 7h30. The juice comes at 7h10m and hot like soup every day without exception. The machice that keeps the juice cold needs an hour or two to cool it. Don't understand why they don't put the juice earlier in the morning.
Gym is a joke. I would never call that a gym and has no AC. It closes at 21h but at 20h50 the staff is trying to kick you out of the gym. I happened to me two times consecutive.

Bad in many aspects

This hotel has a modern design and is conveniently located in the city center just a few blocks from the bus stop (to Jessore). The staff are friendly and very helpful although a little overbearing when they first take you to your room (until tipped!). There is an exercise room and pool although we did not have time to try these. There is free wireless throughout the hotel but the speed is relatively slow. The rooms are clean and relatively spacious but lack basic amenities other than free bottled water (e.g. no coffee or tea). There is a good restaurant on the first floor that offers a nice but not very comprehensive breakfast including freshly prepared eggs.
