We had a wonderful visit with Luc and Carmen at the Baron. Our host greeted us and insisted on vaulting the stairs with our luggage like a 20-something!  He gave us great recommendations for restaurants, sites, shopping, and fun before sending us on our way. We managed to stay up until 8 PM and slept like babies in the comfortable suite pictured in the ad. It has a fantastic tub which was relaxing following a full day of travel. In the morning he greeted us for breakfast in the Breakfast hall and what a bounty: silver service, white tablecloths, and a delicious array of croissants, scones, eggs, cold cuts, juices, and coffee. 
The Baron rooms all reflect an eclectic taste reminiscent of the late 1800s, also the owner has a world-class collection of Comic Books-ask Luc if you can see his office!

Delightful Stay at B&B De Baron first night coming from USA

Very friendly people, great location, excellent breakfast. Had a great night here and felt welcome. This is a small B&B in an old mansion with lots of character. Personal service, and unique rooms. Thank you all very much!

Wonderful romantic, nostalgic B&B

Carmel and Luc are great hosts who make you feel comfortable the second you enter their beautiful house. The B&B is situated near the train station and city center, a great place to do Antwerp by foot. Breakfast is very good!

Great host and location

The beautiful old Town House is just around the corner from the Main Train Station.
We've enjoyed a warm and welcoming arrival with tea and explanations from the host, Luc!
The rooms were just fantastically beautiful and the furniture and decorations make you feel at home(back in the 18th century). The bed is very comfortable.
I've never had such a big bathroom!
Actually it's almost a pity to leave the house to explore the city, which of course is worth visiting.

Breakfast room is beautiful with much love to the details and good breakfast  with fresh Orange juice! 

The steep original stairs might be difficult to clime for some people, but Luc was nice enough to carry up the quite heave suitcases!

Amazing beautiful old house - perfect B&B

I can only echo the many positive reviews below.  This is a B&B for those who enjoy living in an older house furnished in a charming style with antique furnitire and fixtures. The room was quiet, very comfortable, and sleep was easy.  The house is quirky and truly charming!  we also appreciated Luc's advice on what to see and where to go.  Yes, the floors do creak, so if you want a bland, normal hotel room, there are thousands available! But for a short trip back in time, with full comfort and great hospitality, I recommend De Baron.

Antiques and Charm

This historic property is situated a short walk from the railway station and a fifteen to twenty  minute walk to the historic quarter through the beautiful shopping area.  Check the number as there is only a small sign by the door.  This is a lovely building that has been well preserved.  Our welcome in the pretty reception room was friendly with everything being fully explained.  A map of the city was provided with points of interest marked up for us.  The Barons room is very large with a large comfortable bed, a chaise longue, table and chair.  Plenty of plugs and the secure wifi was excellent.  There is a fridge with an honesty bar.  The bathroom is very large with a walk in strong shower, his and her sinks and a big bath.  Individual soaps but not much else in the way of marked toiletries.  The breakfast room is beautiful.  Good juice and hot drinks.  Each table has a basket of baked goods, meats, cheese and packets of spreads.  A boiled egg is brought fresh and fruit and yoghurt is available.  Would recommend.

Beautiful Old Home

The room was well furnished with reclaimed furniture the bathroom was large and with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was served for me early as i was working and it was more than adequate . The welcome was very friendly but finding it was not easy as only a small sign by the door is visible and not immediately obvious.

A little gem

Good breakfast and beautifully served. 
Air conditioning is functional with a fan and a open window. 


Cozy and charming 

The owner is one of the most friendly persons i've ever met. 
He knows how to please his guests. The accomodation is stylefull, neat.
The location of the B&B is in the middle of the centre. Parking space is not applicable.
Breakfast is old fashionly "good". They take care of that

Extremely nice folks

Best B&B I have ever stayed. The rooms are unique and charmy, with four posted beds, and antique bath tubs. The house where the b&b is located is ancient and perfectly maintained, you will feel like being hosted by some 1800 aristocracy. The breakfast in the morning is served in a very elegant room, with touches of finesse and good taste everywhere. 

 The owner is a really nice person, funny, elegant and really informative about his own town.
 Look, simply go there if you have to stay in Antwerp, you are not going to be disappointed. 

 Thank you again B&B De Baron, it was fantastic and we will be surely back!
