The desk staff try really hard but this is a depressing hotel.
Impossible to shower with the hand-held 1970s style bathroom fittings. Tiny piece of cheap soap, pathetic tiny sachet of shampoo - on request.
Really dated, tired furniture, everything is worn out. 
Strange smell about the place.
All other hotels were booked up, as a result they took the opportunity to charge me a fortune.
Never again.

Terrible

The hotel is next to the nice church, around you can find many shops, bakeries etc. The room was normal and clean but the bathroom was old. the stuff was friendly. Even it is not in the city centrum I liked the stay

Room was clean and large but very cold, with basic furniture. Staff very friendly and helpful but if you only speak English you'll get frustrated, as in Bruxelles everybody speaks French.

Bathroom very cold, no possibility to have dinner at the hotel, and the internet connection extremely poor with router not working at all. Building is located very far from the center, neighborhood didn't feel very safe.

Basic hotel, clean room, bad location and very bad internet connection

This was a really nice hotel. The owner/staff were super friendly. The location was a little out of the way from the main station. But it is in a relatively safe area. The breakfast was tasty, the freshest croissants ever. The amenities were great, and room was clean and comfortable.

Watch out for narrow stairs and a distance to the top.

Excellent Stay, Even though Belgium was Grey

10 minute walk from Simonis Elisabeth metro station. Next to the Basilisk, so your room will have a nice view! Value for money, as accommodation in Brussels is quite expensive! Staff is very helpful and kind. Has a very nice family atmosphere! Staff able to speak both English and French. Clean towels are provided each day if necessary. No lifts, so big bags are not recommended! The only downside is that there were no restaurants close by, so we ate at the city centre. Getting a Mobib card is recommended as it works for trams, buses and metros. (full day/ 2 days)
