Beautiful hotel! Warm welcome!
Family owned (3rd generation) romantic place! The father cooks, the mother runs the place, the son helps with everything needed and the dog (Lola) welcomes the guests with a bark 🐶 
Dinner is delicious! and breakfast is fantastic! 
It is not a high-end or high-tech place (the TV is actually not flat) but the atmosphere is perfect! Warm and loving! 
The place boasts a spa but we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy it as it is open only on weekends. We did take some pictures and we will surely visit again if only for this spa whose facilities look inviting and like they are from another time!

LOVE this place! It feels like a home away from home!

In June we spent a few days at the Seehof in Butgenbach! The hotel was absolutely cosy and comfortable. Fo us it was the fourth time we spent our holidays there.The location is phantastically close to the lake. There´s a nice romantic trail around the lake that starts right in front of the Hotel. The owners, family Lachmann are most friendly, always there to help and welcome every guest personally. You feel at home right from the first moment! Each room is individually and comfortably arranged and furnished. This fact contibutes to the individual and romantic charm of the hotel. We can strongly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Stayed here 3 times over the years, with friends and with my young family,
The rooms are large, lots of hot water, great breakfast and evening meals, 
Lots of pubs and restaurants in close walking distance.
Wonderful country side.
Very well priced
Will stay again.

A must, great place with real character...

We felt very welcome although we did not have a reservation. Very warm and friendly people, it is a family business. For art-lovers there are many sculptures and pictures drawn by artists that have stayed there. Very nice flair. The breakfast was perfect. Every room has its own style. Very idyllic right next to the lake. We recommend this hotel and will go back!

Spontaneous weekend

We liked everything. We like to explore Belgium every weekend. We travel a lot and the Hotel Seehof exceeded our expectations. The Spa is a luxury (try the Russian sauna, you won't regret it). We felt spoiled since our arrival. Our room was clean, cozy and large. We had dinner in the hotel and it was a good decission!. Everything is home made, also the breakfast (jam, saucisson, patés...is bio). The staff deserves a special mention: Nice and proffessional.
The dishes and glasses were a mix from different sets but it was part of its charm.
 
We disliked: The bathroom needs some renovation

Russian sauna is a MUST

i have been there with my friends and we had a really bad and scary experience at this hotel, i could write a lot of lines describing how bad the service, the owners , the treatment received, the guests who were there, the not good conditions of their sauna, pool , all about they offer is totally false. We had literally  have to run away from that place the same with other guests who were also disappointed like us. Strange things happens there, old men with little girls alone in the pool and sauna area, really to be controlled . Please avoid this place

Total false, fraud , completely opposite of what they offer and of what the comments say
