This hotel is located just a few miles outside Dinant.  There is plenty of free parking available and we easily found space for our 4 motorcycles.  The staff are very friendly and speak reasonable English.  There is a lovely garden to the rear of the hotel.  The rooms are a little small but they are very comfortablle and well furnished.  This was the last night of our motorcycle trip and it was an easy 3.5 hour trip back to Calais the next day.

Lovely hotel in a small village.

I spent a night here as part of  a bike tour of breweries in the Ardennes.  The hotel is a short walk from Caracole.  The hotel room was clean, and the host was friendly even as we struggled to communicate due to my poor French.  They let me store my bike in the garage and I made a reservation for dinner after my brewery tour.  The dinner was fantastic, as was the breakfast the next morning before I set off.  He even noticed my water bottle on my bike was low and filled it before I left.  Great place to stop for dinner or a room if you are ever in the area.

Friendly and welcoming

We were with our daughters to celebrate a birthday and had three rooms in this nice little hotel last Friday. We had dinner and this was really excellent. We enjoyed the Menu Degustation. The owner/cook uses traditional ingredients and his cooking is really of high class. We also took the wine selection, we had a Poeilly Fumé with the first two courses, followed by a Bordeaux wine and the main course (Squab) with a nice Medoc. The rooms were recently renovated, they are clean and the beds are good.

But the main reason to go here is the food.

Breakfast is also good.

Finally it is a small hotel with a nice personal ambiance. The owner is the Chef and his wife runs the restaurant and reception.We like this hotel/restaurant and this was our fourth visit and we will come again.

Excellent dinner

This is a nice hotel annex restaurant that serves as a full service hotelerie. The place blends old (rooms, corridors) and new elements (dining hall) that makes it original. The place has a terrace and large garden. The breakfast was outstanding (you have to put in an order with the number of desired buns etc. the night before) and I was delighted by the quality of the dinner. Assuming that this is a father and daughter run place, the quality the cook (daughter) delivers (on her own?) is amazing.

A warm welcome which forced us to speak French.  Which improved marginally over the day.   Room was a bit dated but all are being improved.  Evening meal and breakfast were both absolutely great with wonderful service which did again bring our French on no end

Please avoid this place, we went there for a valentine dinner with my wife , some regular customers of this hotel are very familiar and rude with other customer, so familiar that after 10 min after starting the dinner they were shouting against us in the restaurant, worse ever valentine day of my life for a very expensive bill of 150€. Even in a camping such a situation should be unacceptable and  here we were supposed to eat in a gastronomic restaurant ! A shame!

We were in this hotel for a biking weekend in the Ardennes. And we choose this place because of the good TripAdvisor comments.
Check in by the landlord was rather cold but maybe he didn’t have a good day, this happens so we didn’t really care. Upon opening the door of the room (nr 1) by the landlord we were met by a foul smell, really unpleasant. Upon which the landlord disappeared. No way he didn’t notice. We assumed it had something to do with fact that the room had not been used for a couple of days so we opened the window hoping this would go away and went for dinner in a nearby town. Upon return the smell in the room and especially in the bathroom was terrible. We flushed all the sinks, closed all the vents but no response. Luckily the weather was great so we slept with the bathroom door closed and the windows full open. That worked. Of course taking a shower in the morning was not very pleasant because of the smell of burned gasoline. We realized the hotel was full so complaining to get another room would not have worked so we hung on for another day. 
WiFi during all of our 2 day stay didn’t work.
Breakfast was great. No comments here.
Upon checking out the landlord asked if everything had been OK. So I mentioned the really bad smell and the lack of WiFi int eh hotel. Both these issues he apparently was fully aware of…. He came up with the excuse that they had only taken over the hotel a couple of months ago and were working on solving the problems. This is NOT a valid excuse; If we pay full price for the room, we expect to also get the complete service. If a landlord knows a room has a problem, then he simply can’t rent it out. It is that simply. We paid to get a clean fresh room and not a smelly room without WiFi full of excuses.
