I want to warn you about my terrible experience at B&B Au Coeur de Villers. My family and I were really excited for a New Year trip, but it turned out to be a disaster.

Right from the start, the owner was unfriendly and tried to charge us extra money for no good reason. We had to threaten to call the police before he let us check-in.

Then, he asked us to pay a big deposit in cash, which made us feel uncomfortable, but we did it anyway. The atmosphere during our stay was tense because of the owner's attitude.

But the worst part was when we tried to check out. The owner said he'd only give us our deposit back if we wrote a good review on Booking. That's just not fair!
It is a real shame because the area is very nice, but the owner turned out to be not very nice to his guests. And you can see from the reviews that this is not the first time such a situation occurs.

We tried to complain to Booking but they didn't help us at all.

So, please, don't stay at B&B Au Coeur de Villers. The owner is not honest, and it's not worth the trouble. Avoid this place if you can.

The worth experience ever

One hour before arrival, we have to be notified of our arrival at the reception, which we did. Surprisingly, no booking in our name while I have the email confirmation of the booking and receipt of our deposit. We made a 2:30 drive to Villers-Sainte-Gertrude.

Bad faith and aggressive owner

In general we had a nice stay in this B&B which is located in a very beautiful in the Belgian Ardennes. We stayed in the so called "Bakhuis" which is cosy and charming.

After leaving we had to pay the electricity bill, which is to my opinion a little expensive on top of the 500 Euro is you have to pay form friday afternoon till Monday morning.

Frederik the current owner, promised to reposit our deposit of 200 Euro asap after a final check. After 3 weeks I still didn't receive my money back, I emailed him asking if he could pay us back. No reaction to the Email. I personally think if you need to pay upfront you could expect a refund to be also top priority of the owner but apparently that's not the case.  

After giving him a call, he mentioned he didn't quit like my Email and hang up the phone. I didn't even get the chance to explain myself. So overall it was a well stay, but the owner is somewhat a strange person and I hope I receive my money back asap. To be continued.

Nice but receiving your deposit back is a challenge

From the beginning, we were particularly welcomed by Frederick and Tai who offered us a Vietnamese snack. The rooms at the back and upstairs were spacious and well suited to us. After always having dinner under the sign of Asia, we had a last drink with the boss. The next day the girls enjoyed the wellness and we from the area for a great bike ride! Thank you.

A great Easter weekend with the family

As soon as we arrived at the reception, the owner was shocked in an unimaginable way by seeing the presence of our little dog Shi Tzu.. not being able to be on site despite a full prepayment, we agreed to leave the place on condition that we be reimbursed.. the owner didn't want anything and complained of home breach!!! And he violently threw us out the suitcases and we.. ended up lying in the gravel.. the suitcase broke and I was injured in the hand.. we went straight to the Durbuy police station and called Booking.com to report the facts and get reimbursed.. what Booking immediately saw the gravity of the facts. the owner in Trip that we didn't want to talk about.. the booking advisor made us avoid expressing all these facts on the BB.. we tried to stay in touch with the booking advisor..

Warning Very aggressive and dangerous owner

B&B right in the middle of the almost museum like village of Villers Sainte Gertrude. We stayed in the houseGreat location for beautiful hikes. The Dutch host is very ok, he served a great breakfast. Compliments!

Very traditional B&B with great hospitality

Charming welcome, very clean room and suitable for one or two nights, normal comfort, excellent hot table and plenty of breakfast, we'll return to it.

A Quiet and Warm Place

The rooms are small but nice clean shower bathroom and generous parking there is a spa and unfortunately wifi doesn't go everywhere good beds and a wonderful breakfast with delicious local produce go some fixes and you'll be numbers one

For a wedding next door

This guest room is located in a small village.The house is well-kept and welcoming.The Dutch owner is charming and made us feel comfortable.The room was clean but quite small.There is no radiator in the sdb.It is not nice when it is cooler.On the first night, we picked the table at 27.5 (entrance, dish and even dessert)

For a true laid-back Ardennes experience, look no further. B&B Villers has it all: modern rooms, very friendly host, great views, and very peaceful in the center of a tiny medieval village. There are well equiped rooms for 2-4 as well as a small cottage that sleeps six, all at reasonable prices. The table d'hote experience  (optional) is just what you need after a day walking or sightseeing: home cooked at a large table, in summer in the lovely garden. Will visit again.
