Had a very relaxed short break and  enjoyed hiking, scenery and the super hospitality of the owners. They are French speaking. So being able to speak French is a super plus. The indoor pool was fabulous. Winter is quiet. The Perfect rest. We were treated to a speciality of the chef - Parsley ice cream mmmm was delicious!

Quiet get away 

Arrived on Thursday, stay till today Saturday in the afternoon.
Rooms large, clean, and all luxury you need to have for a short touristic stay.
The owners and the staff are amazing, polite, all the questions directly taking care off.
We had the formule 2 nights - Breakfast and dinner.
Eating is a pleasure you feel the love of the cook " the guest lady is the chef" but classic kitchen but Wonderfull.
Breakfast compliments, we travel a lot and in this price range never see a fresh good quality buffet  as this.
Conclusion we return.

A bit of a gem, hidden off the beaten path. A small river (really a very wide but slow stream) flows directly in front. 
If you ask, they can present a smaller menu in English or German, but then they don't really understand what you want. 
Very nice staff. Although they say that they don't speak English or German, language was not much of a barrier. 
Hotel is cash only, just be prepared.

Breakfast was typical Continental cuisine, and not in short supply. Just note that in the weekend (Not sure about M-F), it doesn't start until 0830. That's rough for early risers like me, normally up at 0500.

Dinner was superb. Many different types of trout on the menu, plus regional specialities, and they have fresh oysters and lobsters. I saw the tank up front, so trust me, they're truly fresh. Decent wine and beer selection.

If I'm even in the area again, I'd stay here. 

Nice tranquil spot to overnight. 

Stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the place. The room was large and well fitted out. The furniture and fittings were top spec. King Tut would have have felt right at home in the toilet with it's large stone tiles and high ceiling. Why they didn't include a sink in the toilet is a mystery as you have to cross the room to the bathroom to wash your hands. The bed was comfortable and the tv disappointing as it had no English channels at all. Our room -1 and room 2 are right above the breakfast area, the stairs right next to the food. Hence it is noisy first thing. The restaurant does pretty good food and that is reflected in the price. There was very little English spoken by the staff which made ordering in the restaurant a bit of a challenge but we managed. A big negative is that they only take cash which means a 10 mile round trip  to the nearest bank machine if you are not prepared.

Tranquil and charming next to the river Ourthe. Maybe the smallest of hamlets along the road. Excellent cuisine, I had the best trout in years. We (father & 14 year old daughter) got an appartment looking out over the river. Safe for the occasional dog barking a zen-like stillness in the air. Nice service also. Bit of a bummer was the bill, not that anything was overpriced. Far from that. But we hadn't seen the small print and we weren't warned beforhand: no creditcards! so take cash for a dose of peacefulness. (and I'm not even talking about the beautiful walks in the surrounding woods) love the Ardennes.

Away from it all

We just ate here, did not stay here for the night. We were nicely surprised with the nice spot by the Ourthe, a little streaming river. We had a table inside, for we did not reserve a table. The food was very good, authentic and fresh.  Also the service was friendly and the price worthwhile. Definitely worth a visit and we will come again! We had to fill in the sleep quality and presumably it will be good, but we don't know.
