Wanted to score the hotel higher. It is a family business, trying to give an option to travel back in time. Common areas are well following that trend, it corresponds well with the forest region around...but I can't hide that rooms were more than modest and inconvenient and there is not much to do. Food - menus are limited, but cooked in a fantastic way - you can try some traditional dishes for the region.

Nice medieval interior, inconvenient rooms

We didn't book the hotel in advance, as we didn't know we would end up in Florenville. The hotel was recommended to us by a local lady we stopped in the street to ask how to get downtown. It appeared to be the biggest hotel in town. It is located just off the main pretty sq of the town so all shops, bars and cafes are within 2 min walk. Florenville itself is located in a gorgeous region with so much to do and see! 

The hotel is charming in an old fashioned way. It is owned and run by a couple. It has probably seen better days, but it's very clean. The decor is antique with matching furniture. The rooms are of very decent size (they also have rooms for 3 where the third person has an adjacent smaller room). The bed was very comfy and the good quality sheets had the name of the hotel embroidered on. The very small TV didn't work. We had beautiful view on a large garden. The bathroom was big and had the basic toiletries. 

Breakfast was ok. Nothing spectacular, but appropriate for a three-star hotel. Fresh pastry, cheese & ham, juice, coffee, etc. 

We liked the hotel and the atmosphere, however we thought that 95 Eur for a double room (breakfast and taxes included) was a bit high. However, all things being equal, we would return there and recommend it to our friends. 

Old charming hotel in a very beautiful region

Rooms are a little dated, but clean. Nice staff, and neat downstairs lounge with fireplace and bar. Had a very nice dinner. Led to big expectations for breakfast but it was a limited continental breakfast. Glad I stayed and would return
