Very nice location and great restaurant La Bonne Heure.  It is also the only place where you can eat.  It's a long way up to get there.  Our bungalow wasn't very clean.  Dust everywhere, mattresses en pillows were worn out.  Swimming pool wasn't clean.  There is only one changing room and no place to put your clothes, only a rack for shoes.  On our last evening we suddenly saw een mouse running... We decided to pack and return home.  It's a real plague... There are mouse holes everywhere around the bungalows. We never go back there!!

They lied during the booking proces that the swimming pool would be open (primary reason to book), Free wifi's not working (also signal is too low). Order (fresh) bread for breakfast and get some buns of a week old. Order a (expensive) BBQ set and get it late without required cables. Also nothing to do, playgrounds and sportsfields needs badly some maintenance and repair. Check-out procedure is a pain in the ass and let you run around for over an hour with garbage and bedsheets.  The bungalow's are ok and clean although the matrasses resemble balloons

Lots of communication problems

First of all, this is Parc in a quite quiet location, so be prepared for that. If you want peace and quiet it's lovely. But be aware that the height differences in the Parc are significant and that if you don't like walking on hills, this is perhaps not the place for you :)

The cabins were comfortable, though a little old and on the small side. The "wifi" I would forget about because it's unusable but I guess most people don't come here to work either. The lady at reception and the other people we met were friendly and helpful and there seems to be a lot going on.

Only downside perhaps is the parking situation but that is mostly because people are lazy and can't seem to comprehend that following the rules would make life easier for everyone. One can hardly blame the Parc for this :)

Good vacation location in the Ardens

We hesitated between 2 and 4 stars. 4 stars, because of the nice place in a wonderful and calm area, because of the cleaned and well equipped house, because of the indoor swimming pool. Also, because some of the reception personnel were very helpful.
But, it is a 2 stars, because, even if it is located in a French speaking region, the center is Dutch and if you don't speak Dutch, you don't feel welcome. Some documentation are not translated in any other language as the kids activity schedule. Also, we wnt to the restaurant, nearby the reception, and the people didn't talk to us apart of Dutch. And they never came to take our order before we left after 10-15 minutes. Also, the activity for the kids are done in Dutch as the instructor don't speak any other language. As an other example, on the TV, instead of 2 French channel, 2 German channel, and 2 French speaking Belgium channel, we only had one German and one French. And of course 15 Dutch channel.
Some notes: WIFI is very poor and the water of the swimming pool a bit dark.
May be our mistake to have book there and if the aim was to tell us not to come back, job is done.

Very nice place in a Dutch camp

Great place for a young family.  Loads of things to do and kids are welcome in the café.Their are lovely places to visit near by  (When they are open) and there are supermarkets close to hand where you can buy of eat fresh food.  Generally, prices are higher on the continent but the quality was superb.  Our unit had a good kitchen and plenty of plates to fill the dishwasher. 
Ideal for kids, but if you looking for a quiet week away perhaps you should look further. 

Belgium by the Lake

You know the places that could have be really good if they just put in a bit more effort on the human side?

The cabin was fine. everything working well, specious enough, had most of the things needed, comfortable beds. 

but - it's the little things-
1. we found out when we came there that the indoor playground is closed for the whole weekend. (important for people with children on a rainy weekend). The note on the door said it's open (with the date) but the flyer in the reception said closed. could have told us in advance. annoying. 
2. everything is in dutch .and this is Wallonie not Flanders. all TV stations, most of the written materials. also annoying for people who come with kids and the kids can't watch TV.
3. much relevant info is hiding in a big folder in the room. it's in English but important info like - you should take out all trash to mega cans on the other side of the parc (otherwise you get a fine!), or that you would remove all bed sheets and take them to the central laundry room- is hiding under "places to visit", local attraction, etc. so you only know this if you take the time to read the 40 pages folder. 

really I think - just a quick chat with info at reception to draw our attention to those things that are not within our culture (why the hell should I take care of laundry in a hotel?) would have made everything much better. 

also I don't recommend going there in the winter. 99% of attractions in the area are outdoors.

ok, but not amazing - a 7.5 at most.

Never thought about Belgium as a holiday location but what a beautiful, peaceful and friendly place to stay.  The chalets were well set out, overlooking the valley and there was a real sense of space. Ideal for families who like the outdoors.

Summer holiday

Parc les Etoiles is a peaceful valley location.Quiet place.The Parc is tidy and clean.we stayed in 6-8 persons building.its very compact and its not spacious.WIFI is limited .Reception team is very friendly.Childrens has lot of facility to enjoy.
