This is a gem located in the very centre of historic town. You just walk out for a restaurant, pubs, or your sightseeing. While still on a quiet backstreet.

It is larger and more modern than you might think from the outside.

Not a cosy place to hang out at night.

Pretty good buffet style breakfast in a large room.

It has luggage lockers while being out.

Very central and decent budget accomodation

Never stayed in a hostel before so we were fearful for noisy nights, etc... on the contrary, it was a very pleasant atmosphere. 
The room was rather limited in space but well organised and efficient.
Enjoyed the environmental care given on handling bed sheets and towels.
At the end it was a pleasant experience - to be repeated.

Short stay in Gent to meet family

Great hostel in the heart of Gent with friendly, helpful staff and clean, comfortable dorm rooms. There was a nice mix of people staying there who were fun to chat to. The free breakfast was pretty good too.

Great little hostel in the heart of Gent

Nice hostel with all necessities. You can ask for towels (1.5€)and a hairdryer at the reception (free) if you need them. also the bar looks nice and has very good prices. the personnel is friendly and very helpful

nice accomodation close to the city center and the castle

The hostel is in the center of Gent, for this reason it can be easily reached in day. It is very clean and lovely place. The breakfast is good enough, may be egg can be added to the breakfast. The staff is also so kind and friendly. 

Incredible

Had a very nice stay at Hostel De Draeke. Very friendly personnel, very helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and are cleanend every morning. Breakfast buffet was excellent. 
Only I had no WiFi-connection in the room. At the reception however it was possible. There are many lockers where you can store your stuff safely. I would definitely recommend this place!

Perfect place to stay for a cheap price!
Beds are super comfortable and the bathroom was super new and clean😍
My room  had a really nice view to the canal and the check-in process was super nice and easy! I will definitely come back 🥰

Cozy and clean

Is a good place for a trip in Ghent and region of Belgium. Very good location. Very good cleaning. your staff is very friendly. the collective environment is very well decorated. in the end, I really liked it.

Good Place

Nice and clean hostel. The location is amazing, more central is not possible, and very convenient. The breakfast includes a variety of things. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even when arriving late in the evening.

Nice hostel, recommended!

I would absolutely recommand this hostel for young people wanting to discover Gent on a budget. I stayed in a dormitory of 5 and the people were lovely. However, you have to be able to sleep with a bit of noise (especially if you stay on a friday night) and it can get really hot in summer (Up to 29 degrees celcius on my first night when it had been 33 outside. 
Shared bathrooms are not always the most clean, so i would advise taking a pair of flip-flops with you.
