Fabulous little B&B. We had the top, 4th floor attic room which was very spacious. Had a kettle & tea/coffee. Bathroom spacious with hot, strong shower.
The cafe downstairs provides a wonderful buffet breakfast with meats, cheeses, cereal, bread, fruit, yoghurt plus an egg cooked to your liking and a hot drink of your choice. Fruit juice and water also freely available.
The cafe also has an extensive dinner menu which we tried one night … it was delicious and the portions were huge.
Staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from Koren Markt.
Do please note however that the accommodation is not accessible (they are very clear about this in all the advertising I have seen) The stairs to all floors are steep and narrow and there are no lifts.
As long as there are no mobility issues in your party I fully recommend  and would choose to stay there again if I revisit the area.

Gem of a B&B close to all the main sights

The staff and owner is very welcome and made us amazing breakfast. Very good price too considering it was Ghent festival that time. About 12 minutes walk to reach the city centre. Beautiful garden on the backyard. Comfy room, got everything we need. There's kettle for making coffee and tea! Easy instructions for checking in late. Quiet area. It does have everything we needed. Will be back here again next year!

Perfect Stay: Welcoming, Convenient, and Charming!

Nice and cosy place. Lovely hosts. Worthy experience. Excellent location close to the cité centre. 2 minute walk  from Sint-Baafskathedraal and 5 minute from Gravensteen. We strongly recommend it. Delicious breakfast.

Quite nice

Thanks Faja Lobi for a great city trip in Gent ! Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and dining. Practical for shopping and nightlife in the centrum of Gent. We are happy to return next time with friends and family to Faja Lobi!

Cosy friendly b&b centrum Gent Belgium

The “reception” is the bar at the cafe which is also the main entrance during the day. The rooms are 2 or 3 very steep stairs up. The room prices include a great breakfast. I had the best croissants ever and plenty of them. One morning I had to leave before breakfast time and the staff put out some food just for me the night before. 
The building, room decor, and furniture were old or antique, but the bathroom was very modern. My room was very big and had its own balcony.
The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the old city centre and 10-15 minutes tram ride from the train station.

Quirky little place

Ideally situated, a couple of minutes walk from the historic centre of Ghent. Clean & comfortable rooms. Most vehicles are banned from the city centre, so no problems with traffic noise. Staff welcoming & English speakers. You check in & out in the cafe on the ground floor, which is ideal for eating & drinking and also where you have breakfast. If you are out late there is a separate entrance. Possible issues (which did not worry me) - internal stairs to rooms are fairly steep, no TV & I'd imagine you need to check in during cafe hours. Overall a very nice stay.

Very nice stay

What a lovely old building with the coffee shop below very popular with the locals. You can also have a meal in the evening and they sell bottled beers. There are tiny stairs up 4 floors in total with, I’m guessing, 6 large beautifully dressed rooms. I was on the 3rd and I faced the road  there was no traffic noise. Being an old building with wooden floors you do hear those above you walking around but it didn’t deter me as I loved the place too much. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was a good continental one. The building is only 5 minute walk to the old town. 
If you are a little frail then this place is not for you because of the number of narrow steps. 
The building does not indicate that it is a hotel/b&b so check the photo on the site.

A  really good find very close to the old town.

The BnB here is very nice, rooms contemporary furnishing, beds good. Staff is very friendly and helpful with information on getting around town, where stores are, etc. The breakfast included is better than most. Easier to get around from there. My only complaint is that the rooms are directly above the cafe/bar/restaurant. I couldn't sleep unless I used earplugs. So if you can, then get one of the highest rooms upstairs.

Nice place but a little loud

Stayed in room 1 for five nights while attending a conference. This B & B’s main entrance is through a nice little café a stone’s throw from the old town. Was a 10 minute taxi-ride from the train station. Check-in process was simple and swift.

I stayed in a good-sized room with a nice view. Nice furniture, tall ceilings. On certain nights I could hear the café’s patrons, but was not particularly loud - felt it added to the experience, but if you’re the type that cannot sleep without absolute silence be warned.

Stairs were steep and a bit narrow; no big deal in one’s day-to-day but if you have a lot of luggage, prepare for an adventurous arrival and departure!

Do note that this is a bed and breakfast - not a hotel. All in all, felt that it was an awesome place for lone travelers and couples alike; nice people, easy coming and going, and close to the interesting parts of the city.

Great place for a casual stay close to the old town

Vakantielogies Faja lobi —Just outside the walls of the city of Ghent, a tram transfer would have gotten us closer than the directions on my phone. The Booking.com listing did not make it clear that you had reception in the bar on the ground floor. The door to the hotel was open and upon seeing the very tall flight of stairs(new  wood ones) I found it daunting the idea of dragging my luggage up the stairs. Called my husband that we had to find another place to stay it was just too much to drag the luggage up. The two young men that run the B and B came to the rescue. One carried your stuff up to a first floor—piano nobile floor. Our room number 1 which was huge, with a fireplace, and a small balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the canal and street, charming. The breakfast buffet was modest, perhaps there were 6 rooms here. But it was all cash, for a pretty inexpensive stay, and the two guys made it easy for us carrying luggage up and down. Would stay again.
