Superb B&B, very close to the train station of Kortrijk. An ideal place to stay a couple of nights when you want to get to know Kortrijk better.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the OYO room. The bed was really comfortable and we loved the way the bedroom wall was decorated with old newspaper articles. The fact that the bed came with it's own curtains was also highly appreciated, but it was the bathroom that took the crown: what a gorgeous and spacious room. Ideal to take a hot bad or a hot shower and just relax. Loved the body lotion!

Breakfast was also outstanding. The owner of the B&B knows how to treat his guests. A softly boiled egg, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt and granola, warm honey, lovely cheese and charcuterie, bread and pastries and freshly cut fruits to top it off.

Quiet street within walking distance (5 minutes) from city center.

Lovely B&B

The B&B looks like your college apartment might have looked, if you had the money and time to fix it up the way you really wanted.  It has books, comfortable furniture, artwork, and some whimsical features just thrown in because they seemed like a good idea at the time.  This extends to the rooms, where the storage consists of wooden cubes hanging on the walls with rope.  

The B&B is located on the south side of the railway tracts.  This puts in on the opposite side from the city center.  However, Kortrijk is a compact town.  Nothing is a long distance away.

There is no elevator.  The three rooms are arranged vertically, and so you might have to climb quite a few stairs if you are in the top one.  Oliver will take care of your luggage.  The rooms are labeled OYO, YOO, and OOY.  We stayed in OOY, which is on the 2nd floor.  It was plenty roomy to walk around in, although we could have used more space for our clothing.  We had to unplug the kettle and the space heater to free up outlets to recharge our gadgets.  This wasn’t a problem in September, but it may be in colder months.  The plumbing fixtures and WiFi worked fine.

Breakfast is continental, with cheese, cold meats, rolls, croissants, and plenty of choice in spreads.  The orange juice was still inside the oranges when we sat down, and the coffee was made fresh by the cup.  The most impressive part of the breakfast is the elaborate goblet of mixed fruit.  If you like, Oliver will boil an egg for you.

In short, this is a charming place to stay, and we had no complaints.

Completely Charming

I spent a couple of nights in this quirky and charming B&B last week. Oliver is a friendly and relaxed host, and his training as a designer is evident throughout the house. He provided plenty of tourist information about Kortrijk, as well as a very full breakfast. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area.

Belgium in November

The owner, Oliver, was great and very helpful. He helped us with parking, storing our bikes and the breakfast he served was delicious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor was excellent! The location was a short walk to the town centre, not a problem for us at all. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Kortrijk.

What a fantastic b&b - we loved it.

Came to stay in Kortrjik as my son and daughters were taking part in the Gent-Wevelgem cycling sportif. Superb B&B, quite quircky but a lovingly restored home with large rooms, comfy beds and modern amenities. Oliver is a great host and his breakfasts are comprehensive and delicious. Kortrijk is a nice town with plenty of variety for dinner. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Many thanks Oliver.
