The BnB is in a great location just outside of the busy town and within walking distance to some great restaurants.  Local hikes are available form the doorstep! The owner Claudine is SO helpful with making restaurant reservations and also for local ideas with things to do. The room (deluxe double room) was clean and with good amenities (coffee machine, TV, etc.).

Sleep Well and have a Great Start To Your Day!

Staying in the tree house is certainly an experience. The decoration in African designs is very interesting and it might not bond as much with the forest outside but it's very well designed. One problem might be that the toilet/shower have no actual privacy as they are located behind a wall on the back of the bed. The lady who welcomed us made sure to bombard us with all the house rules as soon as we arrived ;) which I interpret into her being upset with other guests who were not very careful. Unfortunately she didn't have available any maps of the area with the hiking trails (apparently she had 5 which were all removed by previous guests). There's no WiFi in the house but there is an Ethernet cable. Her comment was that we should detach from technology now that we were there.
The breakfast was fresh, delicious and rich, it included a great variety of snacks and even home-made jam. The bed was very comfortable and the linen soft and of good quality. It was very calm and quiet staying in the tree house and everything was super clean. In all it was a lovely experience.

Let me start my review by saying I, myself, did not stay at le bois dormant.  I did, however, arrange this stay for my husband and son.  I gave a trip to the F1 race to them as a gift.  It was up to me to make all the travel arrangements, including finding a place for their stay.  From the very beginning, Claudine helped me with all aspects of their stay, including making dinner arrangements, helping me with the language barrier, and yes, even directions.  She answered each and every question I had, and believe me, I had a lot of questions for her.  This would be their first international trip, and Claudine knew that just from all my endless questions.  I can only review the le bois dormant by my husband's and son's comments.  Their breakfast was huge and delicious.  Their room was always kept clean. There was always chocolates, beverages, and even offered ingredients for them to make a lunch each day.  On the day they left for the U.S., they needed to get to the airport very early.  Claudine had, once again, left out their breakfast for them.   Claudine was a very kind and thoughtful lady and a huge part of the success of their trip.

A perfect place to stay

Stayed here in August over the bank holiday weekend to attend the Belgium Grand Prix (B & B is about 10 mins from the track).  Stayed in the larger of the two rooms.  Beautiful location, comfortable room and amazing host.  Claudine's breakfast was superb - a real feast to prepare us for the day ahead.  She will offer advice on good places to visit / eat etc.  a real local expert.
We would love to return to explore the local area a bit more and perhaps stay in the tree house next to the house.

Great place to stay

My fiancé and I stayed at Le Bois Dormant for 3 nights in February 2014 and would highly recommend this B & B to others. It's located a short drive or a pleasant walk outside of Spa close to many great hiking trails that can be accessed without a drive. Claudine's breakfasts and dinner were superb; make sure you have dinner with her at least once during your stay. I hope we will be able to stay here again - one of the best places we have stayed in Belgium!
