What an amazing and beautiful hotel!

Sylvie was superb, so friendly and helpful. We were able to get on an earlier ferry and she said it was no problem to check in early. 

We arrived and was shown to our rooms. We had Trendy 2 and Trendy 5 (penthouse) booked. The rooms were so luxurious! You had everything you needed in rooms. Each room had a spacious living area with sofa, tv, bluetooth speaker and speedy WiFi. The kitchen had a full size fridge, oven and microwave. All plates and cutlery were provided. Even little things like ice trays and washing up liquid were provided. Bedroom had the most fantastic, large and comfy bed. Had the greatest night's sleep. Towels, bathrobes, slippers and luxury toiletries were all complimentary just like a 5 star hotel. Trendy 2 had a massive terrace area and Trendy 5 being the penthouse had a terrace over looking the beautiful town. Amazing views in the evening!

It had the feeling of a luxury 5 star hotel but with the cosiness of being at home. With Sylvie's warm welcome it really does feel like a home away from home.

Immaculately clean, modern, and nicely furnished
Sensibly priced, and great value for money
Lovely little town, with plenty of choice, for restaurants and bars
Really friendly local people, willing to communicate and offer any advice

Visit Twins, for great food and drink, and friendly welcome.
Local Italian restaurant also very good, and Micky’s Bar next to Sleutelhuys.

Will definitely visit again….. Soon!

Festive visit to Tielt

 First stop on our cycling holiday. Excellent hotel in the centre of town. Host was very welcoming. The rooms are large and have the added bonus of a small kitchenette. The gardens are delightful and a lovely relaxing place. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked this apartment as a base for the Tours of Flanders sportive and pro race. excellent host showed us around the town, where to eat, drink and local history. well appointed and quiet. highly recommend

Unexpected gem

The owner, Maaike, was incredibly welcoming, helpful and attentive.  The house is beautifully renovated (including some original woodwork and tiling) and immaculately clean.  The large, fully equipped kitchen goes way beyond the usual built-ins and includes a Miele espresso/coffee machine with grinder.  All 3  bedrooms are large with high ceilings, individually heated with radiators and have an ensuite bathroom.  The master bedroom has a wide balcony overlooking the backyard.  All beds and bedding are comfortable and high quality.  One person in our party is allergic to dust and feathers, and had no trouble whatsoever at the house.  The decorations are limited, leaving a clean, uncluttered look.   We loved having a laundry area conveniently located upstairs near the bedrooms.  The house is spacious with a peaceful backyard, even though located within 2 blocks of the town square, main shopping street and restaurants.  To one side of the backyard is a small, one room cabin that is a dedicated playroom filled with toys and games for children.  We enjoyed playing air hockey and foosball there.  Another small building on the other side of the backyard has an upstairs sauna next to an outdoor hot tub.  Parking is at a premium in that location and a useful bonus is having gated parking for several cars on the grounds.   Our next trip to Tielt will include staying at the Holidayhome Sleutelhuys. If a whole house is not needed or wanted, Maaike also has a number of apartments available next door.


Location Beauty Spaciousness

Stayed in Sleutelhuys in September for 1 night. It was a lovely place to stay. Owners were lovely, helpful and accommodating. Room was stylish, comfortable and spotless. Free parking 5 mins away. Would highly recommend this for anyone staying in the area.

Stylish, friendly place to stay

Disappointing weekend in a penthouse rental appartment which was not clean, had the toilet - with automatkic lights - two meters from the bed giving no privacy nor freshness what so ever. 

Booked it via Booking where it had top reviews and parking listed as one of the things on offer. The parking is either paid on the street outside or free somewhere else. 

Being a rental appartment it comes with a kitchen with a warm fridge. Took us some good 24h to get cold drinks out of it. The smoke detector is placed opposite of the bed and blinks with a flash every minute, every hour 24/7! 

The toilet had some unidentified spots on the wall and so had the wall in the stair case leading up to the appartment. 

There was cobweb around the mirror by the bathroom vanity unit which comes with a mirror only suitable for people shorter than 160cm of height. 

Referring to it as the bathroom vanity is very generous since it is placed between the toilet door and bed. 

The bed was awfully hard and the sofa in the living area completely worn out. The colour scheme of clinical white naked walls is a matter of taste but for sure not ours. 

It looked great on paper but this had too many errors.
