I spent a couple of nights at the hotel, very comfortable, no frills.  Bart the owner was very welcoming, speaks English and French, so that was a great help.  They answered emails and enquiries very quickly and it was all very smooth.

Parking for free right outside the hotel in a safe quiet environment!

I had a problem to sort out when I was there and Bart, the owner was just incredible!!  So many thanks to him for going out of his way to help me!

Great discovery!

The Hotel was everything we needed. We were a group of middle aged hairy cyclists visiting the area to ride in a cycle event. (T D Flanders ) 
The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was a nice simple European buffet. ( provided early for our cycle event) There was a secure locked garage for the bikes. 
The host was brilliant, he couldn’t have been more obliging, efficient and helpful.
If you want a posh hotel experience like the Ritz Hotel in London  then this isn’t the place for you. On the others hand we had a loverly two night stay.

No frills independent nice hotel.

The receptionist was answering in a very rude manner to all the customers,no matter how polite they were.
I had asked to have my room before the normal check-in time, which wasn't possible (it's ok), so they gave me my room as soon as they can, but it wasn't clean. 5 minutes walking in socks and they were all black. The bed frame was covered in wierd looking chunks :( 
the surrounding of the hotel doesn't feel safe and there is garbage everywhere. Not the hotel's fault though.

Smallish hotel off the road, so quiet. Nice rooms, everything vlean . Wifi also works !
To be recommended.I would book there again. 
I used it as a stopover, so cannot comment on what there is to do or see in Waregem itself.

Bart, the manager total gentlemen and fantastic chef. He fed 18 of us hungry cyclists and our support crew single handed.

Bart also whilst serving 18 hungry people took one of our riders who had crashed earlier in the day to hospital and picked him up again once he had been checked over. 👍

On your approach to the Hotel Ambassade, you may wonder “What am I getting into?”  However, once you get past the seedy environment, you will find a well-run and attractive small hotel.  The hotel is located about halfway between the railway station and the city center.  That makes it a longish walk either way, but it is not excessive.  It is a long way from the hippodrome, and longer still from the American military cemetery.  You approach from the street by passing rows of rental single-car garages.  The hotel itself is an old (not historic) building across from a modern one-story structure that appears to be a light industrial firm.  

The interior is well maintained.  The décor and furniture are not at all shabby.  We noticed some tobacco smell in the hallways but none at all in our room.  It appears that one person runs everything, from the front desk to the breakfast.  He is an older gentleman given to wearing a long shirt, knee length trousers, and flip-flops.  He clearly knows his job.  He listens to your questions and explains carefully and fully.

There is a tiny elevator:  big enough for two people or one person with luggage.

The rooms are about the normal size for a hotel.  The fixtures all work fine.  You will probably want to use your own toiletries, as the supplied items are a mixture of regular brands that you can find in the supermarket or pharmacy.  One odd feature of our room was that the bathroom door was translucent glass.  It provided enough privacy, but if you need to turn on the light your partner might be disturbed.

Breakfast is continental.  Don’t expect bacon and eggs.  You will find cold meat, cheese, cereal, bread, rolls, croissants, fruit, and packaged waffles.  Among the condiments is Biscoff (Speculoo) butter, which happens to be the most wonderful substance known to mankind.  

The clientele seems to be mostly business travelers.  Many of the tables in the breakfast room were occupied by groups of men in matching polo shirts—clearly in town for some kind of job.

Surprising in a Good Way

The hotel is in a very quiet position in a courtyard shared with some (I believe) offices, therefore at night is very silent.
Beds are very comfortable and rooms are big enough both for the Holiday makers and the business traveller as I am. The super fast free Wi-Fi allows you to catch up with work (or with FB friends ehehehe!).
Breakfast is surprising: delicious, copious and varied and can satisfy the "big eaters " as I once was or for people on a dieat as I am now.
The breakfast room is very nice and romantc I'd dare say.
It is within walking distance from a good number of various restauts able to satisfy anyone (Chinese, Italian, Gourmet, Belgian etc...).
Plumbing is just OUTSTANDING: I had the best shower in my hotel life.
Maybe the bathrooms would need some "refresh", but it's really a minor problem

A nice, small hotel in a quiet neighborhood, but in less than 10 minutes walking from the city center through a beautiful park. The rooms are cozy with comfortable beds. The breakfast is excellent. There is a free parking lot in front of the hotel.

Great breakfast, good location

This was small family type Hotel in the city center. Quiet, lovely. Hotel have pleasant bar lounge. Good place who have trip with car. You can leave car in the parking, its free. Very nice city, godd restaurant, tasty beer. Must try. I will comeback one day :)
