This was a one bedroom flat, very clean and tidy, tea and coffee, TV everything you needed for a relaxing stay. car parking next to the building and down stairs was a great beef restaurant. it was only a shot walk into the centre of Ypres.

Stayed in 2017, brilliant place

Our room was clean and check in was easy, to check in, go into the restaurant! The breakfast was tasty with fresh bread and croissants. However our second morning they actually provided us with less than the day before which we thought was weird. Our second night the Wifi wasn't working which we rely because we were on Airplane mode.  
The kitchenette was excellent and grocery store close by. They say they provide toiletries however they did not. 

Note: I'm 5'3", showering wasn't an issue, my husband is 6' and had a very difficult time showering because of the angled ceilings.

Good but can be improved

Spent 2 nights here & the accomodation was lovely & clean.
Although the twin room is a bit small the bathroom is lovely & clean & they have even fitted a small kitchenette in there with everything bar an oven.
The buiding is old but the inside is very modern.
The hosts & staff were really friendly & couldn,t do enough.
There is also a Bar/Restaurant & Beer garden.

Gem.

De Voerman is a couple of rooms above a steakhouse next to the Lille gate about an 8 minute walk away from all the attractions of Ypres. 

For 80€ a night we got Room three. A tiny, spotlessly clean twin in the waves of the property (tall people beware). It had a big flat screen and a little kitchenette and our stay was fairly pleasurable. However the breakfast was fairly uninspiring and never changed, there was traffic noise from the main road outside, no shower gel/toiletries in the bathroom and on arrival at 4pm the host seemed more interested in his restaurant than greeting his guests. 

Decent budget option 

Doesn’t feel 4* but 3* feels mean

Stayed here with my wife & 2 children for 3 nights in August. Nice welcome, very friendly & helpful. We had a converted loft area, with open mezzanine sleeping area for 2, with separate double bedrooom. Very skilfully converted & luxuriously finished. Compact but ok, nicely situated for Ypres town centre. Air conditioned rooms, comfy beds, blackout blinds, a lot of thought has gone into this place.
Parked easily outside, additional parking at rear if needed.
Only possible issue is the property is 3rd floor/loft height & is accessed via a metal staircase at the rear, so if steps are a problem for anyone, look elsewhere.

Very comfortable short stay

Only stayed for one night on our way to the Belgian GP. Really well converted air conditioned loft apartment, very clean and modern with a small but nice private terrace area. Very conveniently situated for the town centre which is only about a ten minute walk. Owners are very friendly and they also run the restaurant downstairs and although we didn't eat there the food  looks very good. The owners even gave us a complimentary beer as it was a hot day, will definitely stay again .

Excellent

We stayed here for a couple of nights in June.  The hotel consists of three fairly recently converted attic-type rooms with some kitchen facilities above a bar/bistro. (Note that the bar/bistro is only open on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.)  Our spacious room had two single beds and bathroom with powerful shower.  The kitchen area had a two ring hob, sink, kettle, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and coffee maker.  Plates, cups and cutlery are all provided.  The owners provide some coffee pods along with a sealed pack of fresh bread every day.  If you order before 11:00pm, you can have breakfast downstairs in the bistro, but we just made coffee and toast each morning.  Attic-type rooms like these can get very hot in good weather.  Thankfully, the room is equipped with a very efficient (and quiet) air-conditioning unit which enabled a pleasant sleeping temperature.  It should be noted that at least two of the rooms are accessed by an external metal spiral staircase.  This could be problematic for elderly guests or people with small children.

The hotel is conveniently located just outside the Ieper town walls.  Although there is a road and roundabout nearby, traffic noise was not a problem.  The town centre and Menin Gate are both about 15 minutes walk away.  On the days we stayed, there was no problem parking just outside the hotel.   I'm not sure how busy it would be when the bar/bistro is open.

We would definitely stay here again if visiting this area.
