Awesome stay with awesome folks!!!  This place has all you need for a fabulous stay and is a wonderful home base for all your adventures around the San Ignacio area.   Shamira and Elvin are terrific hosts and most accommodating!   They will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is terrific!

Great place to stay!!!

This was a terrific find! It was a good sized space (for our group of 4 we had the apartment which had three beds, two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchenette, and patio). The bedrooms had much-appreciated AC units. Bottled water was provided, as were clothes pins/a clothesline for drying out wet clothes outside. The wifi was also good and reliable. The place was clean and our hostess very friendly and helpful. There is also a hot sauce tasting offered on the roof, which we didn't do but would've loved to try if we'd had more time. It was something like 31 different sauce tastings for I think $10, but don't quote me on that. You can also buy bottles of hot sauce there, and they serve beer.

It's also very central, located just a few minutes walk to a number of tour operators and/or great restaurants. There are TVs in both bedrooms with netflix access, and the provided fridge is VERY cold. There are some noises you'll hear from outside, like dogs, and San Ignacio gets a little rowdy with music on the weekends, but this is minimal and you'd probably hear it from just about anywhere. Highly recommend staying here. 

Best guesthouse in San Ignacio

Found our 4 day stay in San Ignacio a welcoming place. From the day we arrived Charlene(?) was there making sure we had what we needed. Fresh water for drinking was available. The beds are comfortable and we spent alot of time on the private patio outside our room.
Each of the bedrooms has air conditioning, we only used one room.
We especially enjoyed our evening on the rooftop chatting with Charlene about her plans for expansion and how they fared during covid.
Alll of Belize seems to be  doing construction of some sort. There are so many restaurants  and markets close by also. Definitely check this place out for your stay in San Ignacio.

Belize Adventure

Shemira was a great host! The inn is centrally located close to downtown and the market but far enough away that it was peaceful at night. I stayed in a room with a shared kitchen that was very well equipped, just right for my needs as a solo traveler. It was also nice to have usable outside space so it felt more like I was staying in an apartment not a hotel.  I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Great home base for all your adventures!

Family of three spent two nights. Clean, well-kept, and comfortable. Great patio for sitting outside. Very convenient, quick and easy walk to main downtown area for markets, restaurants, and tour offices. Owner was very helpful and personable. We didn’t do rum tasting or cooking classes; those might still be on hold from COVID.. but we didn’t ask about them.

Comfortable and convenient

We popped in here on a cloudy afternoon touring San Ignacio, having read about the rum tasting. Initially, we were a bit surprised at the steep price, but this was one of the funnest things we did in Belize. The rum tasting includes seven rums (!), with plenty of information about how the rums are made, the history of rum in Belize, and drinking culture more generally in the country. 

While the rum tasting is located inside a hotel, I cannot weigh in on that - but this is worth of stop whether or not you stay here to get a good sample of the rums.

Phenomenal rum tasting

Great spot, awesome staff, nice spacious rooms.
Will and Luid were so nice to us while we were there, and gave us a ton of intel on the dos and don’t of the area. We had a nice 2 bedroom apartment for a few days and it was great. Cool little rooftop seating area.

We called a somewhat last minute audible and decided to book with Rainforest Haven Inn. Be the time we were done with check in we were so happy we made the call. The staff here are the so incredible lot friendly, helpful and informative. The hotel is walking distance from so many great restaurants, markets and Cahal Pech ruins. They have rum tastings, hot sauce tastings and cooking classes that are truly fun and educational. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view and also provides a common areas for guests. They also have a kitchen area for guest use, although there is so much good food in the area we never used it. So thankful that we decided to stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Best find during our entire Belize trip

The location is amazing. It’s minutes walk to all the restaurants and the market. And at the same time it’s a bit away from the center and, therefore, it’s very quiet. 
It’s super clean and all the staff is amazing and made our stay so enjoyable. A special shout out to William who provided so much helpful information about the area. 
Can’t wait to come back!

Great value and amazing location

We stayed here for 4 nights recently and were very happy with our stay. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The room was great. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We really enjoyed taking the cooking class with William and Anna Maria and the rum tasting with Luid. It’s also right in the heart of SI so it’s easy to get around. Highly recommended!!!
