I am giving this place a 5 star because
Of the location, hot shower , workers and early checking.
It is very budget friendly, beautiful setting , nice room, good TV, this is a place that I will make my home away from home when I visit La Paz, I was so happy that I found it.

Great location

The Posada Albuela is a very friendly place with plenty of nice rooms around the light-flooded Atrium. Room fares are absolutely reasonable and the staff is extremely nice and helpful.

They offer tour bookings with very good conditions at the reception. 

The accommodation is located in the middle of the city center, next to plenty of shops, restaurants and travel agencies.

The atmosphere is simply enjoyable,so it's a strong recommendation!

Cozy place in La Paz with good travel office

We arrived very early in the morning and were able to get into our room easily for showers and a sleep after an overnight flight. Breakfast was very basic, but enough for us. We stayed here again on our return to La Paz and would stay again.

Excellent location. A quiet oasis.

Really enjoyed our few days in this place. Rooms were small and the breakfast was very basic but you couldn't fault the fabulous location and wonderful ambiance. There are three tourist agencies downstairs and a coffee shop. Great place to stay if you have just a short few days in the city. Oh, and the witches market is basically on your doorstep. 

Few days in La Paz 

Glad we only spent one night here, beds were uncomfortable, bathroom was mouldy and the room opens onto a courtyard with tour companies and restaurants which is fine but music is played constantly during open hours so the room is never really quiet. Also the door to our room was missing a glass window pane so you could put your hand through and open the door even when locked. The location is good however and there are lots of places nearby to eat and the markets are close by.

Did not enjoy my time here

The coolest looking hostel and such a great location. Booked this on a whim and boy did it deliver. Beautiful and welcoming interior and rooms were clean and cozy. Super super helping and friendly staff. Helped me and my girlfriend out to get documents printed and store out bags for us even after we checked out! Hopefully it won’t be the last time I see this place!

The hotel is located at the center of the city with lots of restaurants, shops and markets close by. A basic comfortable hotel; but the entrance is through restaurants and tour offices- a bit confusing and no air-conditioners for the hot nights; a bit noisy too. But, for resting and acclimatizing for the elevation, this served us well.

Hotel at good location and comfortable stay

Hostal la posada de la Abuela was excellent. Everything was very clean, and the staff members were welcoming. Breakfast was also very good and had a wide selection. The Wifi was always available and good. We left for a few days to do Salar De Uyuni, and the hostal stored our bags in a secure, locked room for no fee. Finally, the Hostal is in a prime location - close to good restaurants, great shopping and plenty of other activities!

The staff members were exceptional and helpful - any question or request we had was promptly answered or addressed. We enjoyed our stay, and when it was time to leave, the staff was able to call a radio taxi for us, even though we had to leave at 2AM. We highly recommend and would stay there again.

Excellent Stay!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here and by far the best place we’ve stayed in South America on our travel. The staff are super friendly and we’re always willing to help. In addition, the breakfast was great - eggs, bread, toaster, jam, ham, cheese, yoghurts, cereal and porridge - again the best breakfast of anywhere we’ve stayed! Room very spacious too and good bathroom and hot water! Would highly recommend!!
