Simply and clean. I love this little hotel. The staff was always able to help, friendly and helpful. They also gave us coffee in early morning before our trip. We'll always remember how warm were the people here. Thanks!

Love it!

We stayed in La Casona at the start of our Jesuit missions trip and we would thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is family run and occupies a traditional chiquitana house arranged around a pretty patio with plants and hammocks. The rooms are cosy and beautifully decorated and have air con and tv. In addition, breakfast is included and it must be one of the best ones we have had in Bolivia. The owners were very helpful and approachable, gave us local information and helped us to book our transport to San Rafael. All and all a great little hotel a few steps away from the main square.

Excellent hotel in San Jose

Be careful, there are La Casona Chiquitana (on the wall it’s just La Casona) and La Villa Chiquitana. Planing our trip on TripAdvisor, we found a nice hotel with swimming pool. Before leaving, quickly write the name. Arriving, the taxi drives us to La Casona but there is no swimming pool and nothing to see with pictures we saw on internet. Having a look on TripAdvisor again and we discovered the 2 hotels with really close names but nothing in commun. Seems to be La Villa Chiquitana the oldest and no fair play from La Casona…

Avoid mistakes !

We stayed with our family and friends including young children. The rooms are basic, but very spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and willing to help with anything. 
It's a simpler hotel than others that have pools and more frills, but the price and location were just what we needed. 
I would stay there again.

Clean & Comfortable

We stayed there one night. The proprietor is a Rotarian in the local club. Great Spaces Rooms.
Hot showers, excellent food and breakfast. Close to the Jesuit Mission Church at the Main Plaza.
Friendly efficient service. Family operated. Would stay here again!
