Absolutely lovely private getaway from town. Tastefully decorated. Choose the chalets with a view on the dam; the view is stunning. Thoughtful breakfast (included) in the fridge every morning. Only a 15 min to a big shopping mall where you can stock up before heading out on adventures. Would come back to stay.

Lovely and peaceful

there are several chalets but you have the impression to be alone. Clean, quiet, good equipments inside and outside, located at 10 minutes of Gaborone by car, safety. Well equiped kitchen, grill outside : Top !

Exactly as the owner has advertised.  Value for money. Privacy and security top notched.  Room perfectly cleaned. Modern amenities in a remote waterfront serene atmosphere.  Will surely come back again . Will encourage others to go there too. 

Excellent Waterfront in a remote area 

We spent 2 nights in the Babbler cottage. Beautiful place. Very comfortable and well appointed with everything you would need to stay there. The surrounding bush and bird life was awesome. The staff were very friendly.  Will definitely be back again soon. 

Superb Bush Stay

We booked in here for 2 nights to have a break from the corona stress.... midnight of our 1st night city went into lock down again. Cilla happily gave us a refund for the night we didn't get to use.

Now for the review.... great location. Great shower. Fresh fruit, yogurt and bread left for breakfast. All the utilities you need. Charcoal and firelighters are included. 

We were there when a cold front hit..... we were not cold at all. The duvet was toasty and  the electric blanket made sure the bed was warm before getting in.

We really can wait to got back for a full weekend!

Lock down cut short

What an amazing place. From the first contact, to payment and the actual cottage is first class. I could live here!
Attention to detail and extras is exemplary. To add, a superb setting. I will recommend this property.

Riverside Cottages

We stayed overnight in Babbler cottage. It is very comfortable and lovely decorated. We enjoyed the birds and garden and had a braai at the dam, using the supplied picnic basket (very nice idea). They provide a continental breakfast with lots of fruit, yoghurt, bread and cereal. Access was easy and staff and owner very friendly. Will definitely recommend this place.

Peaceful and lovely overnight stay

I can’t fault this place 
Everything about it was amazing, from the simple directions sent, the check ins, excellent WiFi, the ambience, hot shower. You can actually forget it’s so close to the city because of the nature vibe it has. Continental breakfast very thoughtful and healthy :-)Highly recommend 

Wow!!!

We had a wonderful overnight stop here.lots of birds in the garden and at the dam edge.Beautifully decorated cottage with small kitchen and bathroom.outside braai area,fully equipped at waters edge. Breakfast items supplied to have at your leisure.

Peace,quiet and beauty

Well, for the first time I am lost for words!! I had a look at the other reviews and apart from them expressing everything that I wanted to say about Waterside Cottages, the reviews are also beautifully written!! So, what can I say to better these reviews? Nothing!
I agree with all the good things and the only thing I can add is that you don't have to bring binoculars and a bird book because even this has been taken care of!!!!! There is nothing lacking in these tastefully decorated cottages.
It did not feel like we were renting accommodation for a night, it felt like this could be our home for months, an abode of peace where one only hears birds singing and cow bells in the distance and where where the eyes see only beauty; the river, the trees and the lovely light on the water at sunrise and sunset.
Our stay was far too short. It was just a taste of what we could experience if the road ever brings us to Gaborone again! And what we tasted was magic!!
