We asked for a room for five (paying for five) and at the end it required a double bed and two bunk beds. Showering was a real venture: the water didn't come out because the breech was too old and they also have a water heater with electric wires to heat the water with a spine so the risk is to stay out of the way!

A Night to Diminish

The view of the hotel is good, but the facilities leave much to be desired. The room was dirty, without paint, without soap, and the bathroom shower was so clogged that it was difficult to take a bath. I just didn't give up the accommodation because the city was crowded. But I don't intend to go back.

I didn't like the hospitality.

Our experience with the hotel was terrible during the two days we were there from the moment we arrived. At first, the frustration with the pool being dirty and unsuitable for use. In addition, the room was without water and after returning, the bath water was dirty and the shower water barely came out. Still, we were surprised by the noise that seemed to be raining at the end of the night, but it was actually the water from the hotel box falling on the ceiling, which didn't take long to fall into the room and ALA the whole floor. We woke up with the people in the middle of a water palm. We asked to dry and we went out, because we were surprised one more time, they belonged to the final wing of the room, all our feet still running, and another transfer of coffee had been arranged, but the hotel's location is completely freezing, and the hotel's staff is very good, but the hotel is very well-organized and well-organized.

Bad experience, the barristers deserve more.

I went with my family (6 people) and with few accommodation options for the holidays. The service was a differential. The cafe had plenty of options. The room was very clean. The one in the pool has a beautiful view, it's just lacking maintenance (tile falling). It's lacking investment, because it's already a little old, yet the courtesy in the service is worth a lot.

The hotel is old and is being upgraded gradually, the rooms need to be upgraded but they are spacious, better than the modern ones.

I evaluated the hotel in the booking reporting the terrible experience that was to have lost the key (by my mistake), but reporting that they did little to resolve since they have no key reservation any of the rooms (inacceptable), they did not call a keyman on time, finally they put us in a room of a frequent guest (seller?) but who was not there at the time and had only that room available, we stayed, with all the guest belongings there for one night. What was not my surprise, look at the answer from the hotel away in the booking: we thank your contact.

What a terrible experience!

The staff and the owners are attentive and very helpful. However, the establishment is in need of a renovation. I was in a very poorly maintained room where the air conditioning was not working properly. I almost rushed into the bathroom because the trench and lock were rusty.

Reforms

The view of the Preguiça River is beautiful, the comfortable living room with a refrigerator to store water and food. With air conditioning. But on the date we were there the inn was open but in maintenance. So our lack of maintenance. Our visit was very good, or the staff of the reception pleasant, I am very grateful for the kindness.

This hotel was proposed to us by an agency in Sao Luis where we had booked a visit to the Lencois Maranhenses. The rooms are excessively spaced, a simple mattress on a net with a very old sheet. The Spartan rooms are not a problem for us, but at least some cleaning would be appreciated. I didn't appreciate breakfast very much, given the general dirt I ate the minimum necessary. The only nice thing is the location on the river, but I highly disapprove of it.

Hideous rooms and non-existent cleaning

The hotel is located about 10 minutes' walk from the centre. We found the location advantageous for two reasons: 1) it is quiet and 2) it is by the river. You can sit and relax on the lower wooden terrace in between. My room was functional, clean and large enough. All the staff were very friendly. No one tried to offer us a tour or even push us - which I found especially special. The breakfast buffet was extensive and of good quality, even when we were the only guests in the hotel on the first day. I would book the Hotel Baira Rio immediately without any positive doubts.
