The place is located at the south, just outside Bonito City, but it is only 5 minute by car to the center. It is quiet and has a beautiful surrounding A lot of wild animals and birds can be seen.
The owners are very friendly, Didier (Asterix as we called him) is from Belgium and welcomes you every morning with a happy "Good Morning", but also his Brazilian wife is sweet and helpful.
The breakfast is very good and healthy, tasty fruits and fresh home made cakes every morning. The chocolate cake of Didier is the best we ever tasted. The cabins were simple but spacy and clean. Not much closet space though an the shower has a bit low pressure. Wifi is very slow, but that is the case in the whole Bonito region, since it is based on old fashion radio signal. So despite these minor comment of the room, we loved the stay in this place.

Wonderful Holiday address

Small hotel with only a few rooms. The people who are running it are very nice. Good service. Breakfast is made by the owners and is very good! Everything is hand made and delicious. Very nice surroundings and a swimming pool. The rooms are simple and not always clean. There was not enought light in the room. Our airco wasnt working and the reception was already closed. It closed very early. Big problem, because we couldt reach the owners any possible way. And had to sleep in a very very hot room. The next day they repaired it immediately, so good service.

Average rooms, good service and breakfast. Nice location.

The cabins are not luxurious but they more than do the trick.  The owners are a real treat.  Obviously they love what they do and it shows.  We got a full tour of the grounds including many fruit and nut trees and lots of wildlife like burrowing owls that live a stones throw from the cabins.  My personal favorite was feeding the caiman in the small lake out back.  The parakeet house is also fantastic.  Breakfast was delicious every morning and all made from scratch.  I can't wait to go back.

Amazing Hospitality and BEAUTIFUL grounds

When we booked our stay we had a really good feeling about this Pousada. We did request a late check-in, which was denied. This was understandable to us, but 20:00 did feel very early. Nonetheless we did take an early bus (05:00 in the morning).
On our way to the Bonito, the bus broke down and we had to wait the make the switch to a different bus. As anyone would do, we immediately called the Pousada to communicate our delay of 1–2 hours.
What ensued, was a torrent of screaming and yelling over the phone. We were shocked – to say in the least. The receptionist lady went so far as to tell us that we cannot do the check-in after 20:00, under any circumstances.
Luckily enough we did find a different Hostel which welcomed us at around 21:00 and we ended up cancelling the stay at this Pousada… 

Again, we did not stay there, so we cannot say anything about the residence itself. Yet, to be treated in such an unprofessional and rude way made us stay far away from Pousada Moinho De Vento. Good riddance, indeed.

Very unfriendly and rude – Canceled Stay

Wow, Ana and Didier are the kindest people who give a new meaning to hospitality. The rooms and the Fazenda are beautiful, clean and comfortable. If you need any advice then the hosts will give you good advice. The breakfast is awesome, luxurious and soooo good!! Enjoy if you go here, we know you will.
