Rooms small and poor. 
‫breakfast is poor.
Staff dont speak english or spanish.
there is a beach near the place.
Wi fi all the time disconnected.
I wouldent reccomend because it wasnt cheap. I heard there are much more ceaper places here to stay.

Expenssive. Location is fine.

We stayed at Pousada Estrela do Mar in December 2013 and would not recommend it. The only reason why I didn't give it a "terrible" rating is because the location and the service were good and the breakfast was reasonable (albeit simple). We booked a double bedroom and the bed linen were dirty, stained and old (with some ants on them) and the bathroom was tiny, mouldy and desperately needed updating (the towels were also stained). The shower tap was covered with insulating tape and later we discovered that it was because it gave a small electric shock (we found out because some of the people we traveled with who also stayed there got a small electric shock when they touched the shower tap while showering!). This is a basic health and safety issue that needs immediate attention. After a first horrible night without sleeping because of the various issues (including the incredible loud music just outside), we asked to be changed to another room. The owner did her best to accommodate our request and we moved to another bedroom, which was slightly "better". However, on the second night in the new bedroom we found a cockroach in the bathroom and the rest of our stay was kind of uncomfortable. The location on the second beach (segunda praia) is great, with the beach just on your doorstep, but if you don't like loud music and noise until 4 or 6 am don't stay there, as there is a chance that you won't be able to sleep. If you want to relax, stay in the 4th beach.

Would not stay there again

I spent 2 nights at this BB. You pay the location with out a question. The BB is not very clean and kind of run down, but if you travel to Morro you are not going to spend much time sleeping. The beaches and the night life are worth enjoying. I suggest you go to the other beaches and walk up and down the island. I travled there in May 2011.

Birthday trip with my girlfriend

We have spend already 3 summers there with family and friends.
The pousada is very simple but clean and on the beach.
It is a good quality/price to be in this wonderful island. We have acces to a kitchen for the guest wich is very practical when you have kids instead of going to the restaurant.
Rita the owner is someone very kind and helpfull, she is the soul of the island and is very engaged in the preservation of the nature and the education of the community.
We will return this summer

Stayed here for the second time , on our first visit everything was fantastic , the owner Steve did everything to make our stay a pleasure . We returned to find new owner Rita in charge , she was rude , the place was filthy with bed bugs and unhelpful staff. We heard stories of guests rooms being stolen from when 'apparently locked' with no sign of forced entry. Avoid unless nowhere else is available I guess.
