It is located at the beginning of the Quadrado, near the movement but also quiet. The view from the rooms and breakfast is great.
The rooms and hotel structure are simple, need a lift me up. We went in low season so the hotel service like bar did not exist. Maybe in high season is different.
The price is what it is, after all is Trancoso. But since the structure and service was a C maybe could be a little cheaper.


Good location, excelen view but simple

This is a lodge located at the very end of quadrado, just the left side of the Church. It has full frontal view of the ocean (it is located on the cliff, so it is not beachfront, but it has the ocean view from the pool and from all the 4 bedrooms). The positive part of this area at night is noise free. All the music from restaurants are situated at the very first meters of Quadrado.
Friendly staff, special mention to Dona Maria, eho is in charge of breakfast, and is one of the sweetest peiple I have met in Trancoso. She made sire our juices were cold enough, our tapiocas were made upon request, eggs freshly done as we ordered it. She was always smiling and willing to help. Special thanks to her! 
Rooms are clean.
All the rooms have a view of the ocean and the native forest.
The only negative side is that they dont have pool service (no finger foods, caipirinhas or drinks) - but Dona Maria called a few restaurants to ask them to deliver us Bloody Marys. And we asked her if we could have a beer at the pool, and she provided us a bucket with ice and a few beers! 
It was my birthday and the staff provided a little surprise in my room with champagne!

Ocean view, gorgeous pool

El paraíso, impossible better location, next to the church del Cuadrado and opposite the beachfront. I prefer to stay in the square if the Pousada or hotel has a pool, walk down the beach and go back to the bathroom. And then you're ready to spend the afternoon/night in the square and surroundings. María es el alma de este lugar, si no estuviera ella no sé si funcionaría. La piscina una joya, tiene la mejor vista al mar. Realmente perfecto. Volvería todos los años. The perfect pousada.

Perfect location, the best view of Quiet, large, quiet and comfortable room, friendly and prepared staff, available for any need, recommended for couples and families

One word... show!

I stayed in this B&B with my friends and the experience was fantastic. Great location, great rooms, great pool, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. I just think it needs more attention to detail. Bed sheets could have smelled better, some lamps were not working, we had to change rooms and one of them needed a lot of attention and repairs. No bedside tables. This place has the potential to be one of my favourites ever if small changes are made. Overall, really enjoyed my stay and would happily return there. 

Amazing location, great breakfast, needs a bit more care

We were here for a family wedding and booked the whole pousada (they have 4 rooms) so the place was ours.
Rooms are nice, little rustic but with wifi, cable and air conditioning.
Reservations were a little confusing but service was great and the breakfast amazing. They don't have a kitchen for lunch / dinner but you can order from different restaurants that deliver.
View from room was very nice and the pousada is very close to the church at quadrado (the grass central area of Trancoso's)

Great small hotel at Trancoso's "quadrado"

This place has an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean, the room is a small apartment! There are only 4 rooms! An amazing pool and the breakfast is delicious. They maid cleans the room to perfection, the bed is comfy and the shower is delicious! It right in the quadrado the famous center of trancoso and 100m from all the restaurants.
 It's a 5 min walk to the beach!

Paradise on earth

It's astounding people spend years at fancy hotel schools learning how to look after people when for Bahians, it's a basic instinct. The staff played a huge role in making our stay so wonderful. 

Pousada Segredo could best be explained as an Aman Resort without the fuss and excess. Its huge rooms have probably the best view of the beach from any Pousada in the quadrado. 

But it's the expert in restraint that stops it from falling into the OTT flashy basket so many properties can't resist.

I hope very much to go back again one day.
