I booked for a platform, not knowing that the nearest beach is about two kilometers away, next to it is a fishery, in front of it is a police station. A very remote place, there is nothing nearby, a restaurant indicated by the hotel, which can be classified as a hostel, the food was not good. I stayed upstairs, stairs to go up, the room was facing the street, with a horrible smell of sewer return, I claimed, the receptionist said that it is the smell of the fishery next to it that exhale the smell. I wanted to spend more days in Trancoso, apart from the smell of the hotel's sewage, the long distance from the hotel, it rained a lot, I bathed in the rain on the road, the day, I didn't fall sweating, it was my coffee. The next morning's coffee was in the lower part of the bed, and I complained, the coffee was just outside the room.

Disappointment

I booked for a website and although a few photos didn't bother me with simplicity, on arrival we were well taken care of by the receptionist was super nice, she already took us to the room that was clean and smelly (because I had stayed in an expensive hotel that disappointed me with the cleaning), breakfast and simple but served my needs, the only inconvenience was the noise of the street, because there is a bar nearby and the street is very busy and I stayed in a room across the street, but outside that was all very good, the super polite waitresses and the owner also has a restaurant nearby that has a tasty and affordable home-cooked meal as well as the hostel...

Cost benefit

There are similar better priced options located and with better infrastructure. The place is really very noisy, they placed us in a room in the garage/land/traffic, so beyond the noise of the street there was interference from people and cars at the door of the room. I asked to be exchanged for a room on the top floor but it was denied. Very small room, without refrigerator with bathroom only with cup, without bench, which makes it difficult to support accessories. The bathroom box also had no compartment, not even a curtain, soaking all the money while taking a bath.

If you want to sleep and rest at night, after a tiring day of walking on the beach, get away from this place! The noise at night is hellish! It's impossible to sleep! There are many dogs in the neighborhood (which the inn is not to blame for, but finally, they are nearby and barking all night long) the air conditioning is extremely noisy, just like the refrigerator! The Wi-Fi is good, the room is clean, breakfast is reasonable, but it's not sleeping! I even got my check-out one day ahead of so disgusting that I was. And I'm still with the problem of the inn having charged the full price! They don't want to return the value of the stay.

I made the purchase of a package for Trancoso by the Hotel Urbano and this hostel was selected for my accommodation. I read a few comments and reviews about it and I admit that I traveled with a certain fear due to what I read, but when I arrived at the hostel, I was very well received, I stayed in a room that the window faced the street and I had no problem with noise or anything that interfered with my sleep as I had read. Maybe because it was low season but independent of the season, I think it's not the size of the hostel but rather the greater flow of movement that ends up affecting the whole city.
