The guesthouse is very expensive for the treatment they offer. My room was on top of the kitchen, so it was super noisy, one day I only got to sleep after 1:00 in the morning when the waiters left. Also, I was told that it was an upgrade with a view to the sea, I'm still looking for the view. The room is not worth the price, much less the service. For the price, the service should be exceptional. The restaurant is expensive, but the waiters are completely uneducated and seem to be doing us a favor. My mother got sick one day of the days we were staying, we called the reception and asked if they could make a soup, or a lighter meal during the bar. It was obviously another disappointment! They said that they were just what they were doing during the party.

Best care of my life

Very weak team and everyone with low astral, starting with the manager. Bad attendance especially at tomorrow's coffee. I haven't seen a smile from anyone in three days of our stay. Rooms with a lot to improve on. I wouldn't repeat the experience.

Bad experience

It's really not worth the price. For the very high amount of the day we paid, the room is pretty precarious and the manager's attention leaves much to be desired, he looks up at you from above, he doesn't welcome you well. The feeling when we arrived and the days we spent was that we weren't welcome, totally blasé. I thought I'd cancel the first day. Already on a positive note: wonderful pool, tables overlooking the sea and being super close to the square church.

It's not worth the price!

The restaurant offers a frustrating experience to the consumer. The prices are absurdly abusive for mediocre dishes. I ordered a fillet that came burned, already with coal on the edges of such a burned one! And look what I didn't even order well past! As if that wasn't enough, the blood mary came too salty and a cockroach flipped between climbing up on my lap, my husband's and the tables next door. The employees barely called to our complaints. In the end, after a poorly cooked and poorly tasted meal, came the frustrating return from the house that feels so much. Don't be fooled! There are several decent and delicious options in Trancoso. El Gordo is definitely not one of them!

Relaxation and Deception

Great structure, swimming pool, view, restaurant open to the public making it barren even late in the morning and the host ends up taking a long time to sleep!

Landing for youth

I made the reservation about 3 months in advance and the payments 30 days before check-in we asked for help with the parking, which the inn simply ignores, tells us to look for a parking space without even making an indication we stopped the car on the street where we were approached by a completely drugged individual to take care of the car the next morning at 7 we woke up with the masonry workmen, which even the sawmills were using the pool could not be used by the movement of workers on site with paint and dust we did not even receive an apology for the inconvenience, I still had to hear that we were warned a week before the restaurant was in remodeling and it was not working

Launched in works

I've been waiting for a long time to get to a place that's so popular, and we've been waiting a long time to get to know it. The food is amazing, and I can't even begin to express how good that harmonious moment was from the entrance to dessert.

Dinner with the sunset.

Very well located and nice pool area. However, our room was not well ventilated and it was rather noisy -  we could hear music playing from the pool deck nearly at all times, in addition to noise coming fron a service alley that happened to be located close to our room. Food was great and the chef was super friendly and accomodating. 

We had a nice time at the restaurant. Ordered seafood (shrimo and lobster dishes) that were really good. The waiter were all kind and helpful. We had ice cream with a petit gateau that the girls loved. I surely recommend this place.

Nice ambiance with good food and great drinks

El Gordo ... If you want to wait 3h, be badly served, eat plates ordered from another table, ask twice for the bill because wrong... whilst admiring the robust owner feeding his bulldog ... el Gordo is your restaurant ... arm yourselves of patience & credit card! 
Do you remember the Frank Sinatra song... NEVER AGAIN.
