We were here with a few friends at the end of an exciting round trip to Brazil to relax for a few more days before flying home. From Porto Seguro Airport you can either drive directly or choose a slightly different taxi, boat and buggy trip via caraiva, which I definitely recommend.With a lot of luggage, however, direct travel is probably easier. You live in spacious bungalows, breakfast is totally delicious and varied. The whole facility is beautiful and in the evening, when all the lights are on, there is a perfectly decorated atmosphere. The staff were very nice, the food tasted great. The beachfront at the family hotel is the most beautiful place to visit. So much to enjoy. I would have to go to the parks in the beautiful village of Vientiane once again. I could enjoy the beautiful beaches of the village of L'Aquila with my hands.

Paradise on earth!

Corumbau is a small village and it's an evening's fee to come here. From Porto Seguro you have to drive two hours by taxi, then take a canoe, then a buggy, and then another canoe. So you should have little luggage. But it's worth it, it's by far the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. You can walk on the beach for an endless amount of time, the water is very clear and incredibly warm, almost like in the bathroom. The hotel is right on the beach and you can barely make yourself comfortable on extremely comfortable beds under palm trees or sunscreen if you want. Also, a drinker is brought to the beds. If you wish, there are freshly caught fish in the evening and soon you'll be able to thank the staff for W. It's the perfect time!

We stayed 1 week at this extraordinary place!

The nature and beautiful beach are a perfect place to relax and escape from the everyday life.

My friends and family spend the day under the solar sails at the beach, made walks to the fishermen's village, snorkeling or stand-up padelling.... 

The weather was constantly warm with a refreshing breeze from the ocean. We drank everyday at least a fresh coconut which are delicious! The food at Jocotoca is very good. Especially the fish. The morning began with a wonderful arranged breakfast. 

I would recommend Jocotoka to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the nature and people in Corumbau. 

Paraíso e Beleza / Paradise and Beauty

Ponta do Corumbau is one of the few remaining corners of the southern state of Bahia. A few pousadas, a few Barracas, but the place is still wild. The beach is beautiful. The pousada extends over a large park of several hectares by the beach. The cottages are very large and well arranged. The infrastructure is very well thought out. The only negative point could be the lack of maintenance and maintenance, especially at the park level.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and calm beach - Ponta de Corumbau. Very close to the little village and has a very nice view of the beach. The rooms are spacious  with a good bed, but rather old in its conception. The AC, TV, frigo, shower and other amenities are very, very old and should be changed urgently. They used to have a diesel energy generator (that was broken when we were there) to supply energy ( lights, tv, frigo but NOT AC)

We should have stayed for 5 days in Jocotoka, but not having energy every night and having to sleep  outside because it was too warm inside the room, made us leave in three days. 

Even if the energy issue was not exactly their problem, they should have a backup. Air conditioner in a place were the temperatures can get very, very warm is a MUST HAVE. This problem seems to be happening since december 2014 and the hotel did not make a move to solve it. They market the property as a Luxury Hotel, and sadly there is no luxury anymore.

Unfortunetly, we had to shorten our stay. We and three more guests that had come to spend the new year, left on the same day.

Ponta de Corumbau is a fantatisc place, but unfortunatly the hotel is not that fantastic.

Big Problem with Electricity!

Me and my husband went to Coumbau beach in December 24. We paid a very high price in advance at Jocotoka Village and we where supposed  to stay until January first 2015.  Only the beach is like the photos. Very beautiful. The hotel is obviously  in decadence. We expect a nice room like was announced. the service was lazy, the room appliances ( ar condition, TV, refrigerator) where old and whith a terrible noise when turned on. The shower area was very bad.  No soap, cap, cream or anything that could mean confort for us. The roof looked like it was going down in some places. The eletricity went out a lot of times. The breakfast was ok. But for the price we paid it could be much better. We left the hotel on the 30 of December and there was no reembourse. We use to travel a lot. But the Jocotoka vacation experience was the worst of all. For us was like " Pay to enter and pray to get out".  I hope others could read this before they went. x
