It is a very confortable hotel. This is a beach hotel, you will be really close to the beach. Foot on the sand. So, this is not a luxurious place, but the rooms are very confortable and clean. In most of them, there is kitchen. The neighborhood is very good. Canasvieiras is a very calm and warm beach. The staff is one of the best I have ever seen in my life. They are very attentive, mainly the manager, Mr.Gustavo, who does everything to assist us and who speaks a very good english and spanish, besides portuguese, of course. Me and my family enjoy so much this hotel. We have booked the room and we have paid for it. But, for personal reasons, we have had problems to go there. It has happened twice. But, Mr. Gustavo was always ready to try another date and, finally, we could go and see how wonderful was the experience to stay there. There are supermakets and restaurants in the neighborhood. And, the hotel breakfast was delicious, almost a lunch and you do not mind, you can use the breakfast meal as lunch, skipping lunch time.

Gustavo and staff were always so helpful when we looking for things to do in Floripa. Gustavo was fluent in English so that was a great help. Thy helped out with getting laundry washed and all that. The accommodation was lovely couldn't ask for more. The accommodation was right beside the beach, so beautiful!!!! Thank you for a great stay

Absolutely Amazing

All the staff here are always eager to help. Gustavo ( may be the Manager) speaks English very well & he was called in to assist the moment I came to check in. He briefed me on everything that I needed to know. Gave me an apartment with a balcony & sea view. There was a bedroom with an attached balcony & a seperate sit out with a sofa cum bed & an open kitchen along with the living space. He also provided a lot of information on restaurants & beaches to go to. They offer free beach towels, beach chairs & beach umbrellas. The place is spotlessly clean & rooms/ apartment are quite spacious. Wifi was quite good. I did not really use the  kitchen but looked like it had all the basic necessities. Secured overnight parking was also available.
I spent 23 days days across Brazil & 3 of those nights was at Fragata & it was the best value for money & the best service orientation that I experienced across all my accommodations. The breakfast was also very good with a resonably good spread.

Not for nothing they are rated as number 1 in Floripa

From the moment we arrived at Fragata Hotel (without a reservation) the service at Fragata was fantastic. We were met on arrival by a team of 5 staff on reception, led by Gustavo who spoke near perfect English. We had arrived early in the morning so they gave us free breakfast (the breakfasts were by far the best we have had in the time we were in Brazil).
The hotel itself was brilliant-clean rooms, 30 seconds from a great beach, free beach chairs, towels and umbrellas, games room, kitchens in the rooms etc.
However, the real key to our experience at the hotel was the amazing service. Gustavo was always around to help with our questions, drawing us maps for our trip round the island, offering us free lifts into town, recommending restaurants and activities etc. It felt like they could not do more for us. They also held a shower room for us on our last day so we could wash before taking the night bus.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.


Cannot recommend highly enough

We chose to stay in Fragata following the excellent reviews on trip advisor and we had a fantastic stay.

I would like to make a special mention of Gustavo (the hotle manager) who speaks briliant English and went the extra mile to provide us with exceptional service and made our stay extra special.

The apartments are exceptionally clean and spacious. We had the basic apartment for 2 people and had a separate bedroom and bathroom, with a separate kitchen area with dining table, all the cooking equipment we needed and a cushioned bench to sit on.

We had a balcony with BBQ and gustavo provided us wirh all the BBQ equipment we needed to BBQ in the evenings.

The hotel is 20 metres from the beach and they provide chairs and umbrellas for you to use anytime which are complimentary.

It is around an 8/9 minute walk to the main town area which was a safe walk and means that the beach section by the hotel is quieter than the main town area.

There is also a games room at the hotel with pool and table tennis which was fun. 

We were in Canasvieras slightly out of season (in october) so the main town was quiet and wasn't very buzzy but we had a great stay.
