Great hostel, owner Alessandra is very attentive everything very clean and organized comfortable rooms and breakfast always with news it is very close to the beach and about 400 meters from the pier we like it very much

Great option in the Gamboa

Great cost benefit. Spacious room and bathroom, air-conditioned and chilled, breakfast is wonderful and is served on the balcony, from where you can contemplate a beautiful and well-groomed garden, which attracts many birds. Having breakfast listening to the birds and watching Alessandra's kittens playing in the lawn has made our experience even more unforgettable. Alessandra is super friendly and attentive. Super recommended!

That's great!

We were at the Pousada Halai from 26 January to 6 February 2020. A family vacation with my husband and my two children. The pousada is really beautiful, small in size and with excellent quality services: spacious rooms with air conditioning and free wifi, excellent cleaning and a pleasant garden. Great breakfast included in the living room and the possibility of enjoying the restaurant for dinner. Very well-groomed cuisine with a range of local and Italian dishes (I recommend ravioli with fish stuffed in the house made by Alessandra).

A wonderful vacation.

The room could only have a curtain that would sweep the sun more. The room structure would be surprising for the price of the region (400 per day in a room of 3 people). Great Breakfast Coffee, very varied, from the cheap breadcrumbs to sweet potatoes. So they tapioca on time and have juices from the region. Room service is very dangerous! The biggest problem is the location. The location between Morro and Gamboa was convenient and it was easy to walk... More or less... you have four options to go to Morro Beach: - Drop a cat in the pool, the cost of the boat does not seem to depend on it.

Good shot, but the location's a little limited.

We were treated with contempt, the food took forever and it was bad, I had to go to the bar to pay and what couldn't get worse got worse, the kitchen looked like a mess the fries came wrapped in wheat flour, a weird thing and the price was very expensive... finally, a disappointment the front tent that is on the beach corner is much better another recommended option is the good one in gamboa

Horrible bar/restaurant, poor service

Alessandra's hostel was a pleasant surprise. It is super well located on the beach in Gamboa (where it has the miraculous clay), the rooms are clean and the bathroom is impeccable. The hostel is in an area with a lot of nature, and you'll hear a lot of birds in the morning, but you'll also be living with some mosquitoes, nothing that's going down the place. The room overlooking the sea really has a view of the sea. And what a view! The morning coffee is very good, it has pizza with melon, always very well made and organized. It has fruit, cake, cacao juice, cacao juice...The person responsible for TB is very kind and prefers another beach. The hostess always very much informs you about what to do. I'd like to take a walk around the beach in the palace and I'd recommend that you stay in the centre of Gamboa, where you'd rather die than go to the beach.

Inside the hotel proposal, everything was great.

We stayed for 6 nights. I highlight the cleanliness, the breakfast (very rich and abundant), the attention of Alessandra and Cristina (owner and cook), the family room we rented is spacious and very comfortable. Aspects to improve: the room overlooks the sea but is covered by a tall tree, cutting it a bit to improve the view. At this time the night restaurant did not work and that meant we had to go to the center of the village to look for food as there is no delivery and sincerely the center has no attractive or good places to eat. And the access to the beach (which is very close) could also be better (with a path of stones or wood).

The lodging is pleasant, with spacious rooms, clean and well cared for; Maria is always ready and attentive to what you need, breakfast is good, for me I taste the toaster and hot water for you, she has neither yogurt nor cereals; the theme is that the location is not very pleasant, and besides Gamboa is a place that has nothing, nothing, a restaurant, some businesses; she has no place to have an afternoon coffee, and when it rains everything is closed; you have to take the boat every day to go to Morro, that there are many options of local gastronomy, cafeteria and commercials.

We had booked a stay at three property, however upon arrival we needed a guide to find it. It is located in what appears a slum and we did not feel safe to leave the property at night. There are no restaurants near by. Even though the photos look like the hotel is near the sea, it's quite long walk to get there. We ended up canceling our stay even though the owners refused to return our money.

Located far from the beach and inn a bad part of the town

The rooms are spacious and clean, well decorated with a terrace, the breakfast was varied and the food at the restaurant was very rich, with good internet and cable links just steps away from the peaceful and welcoming beach.
