Best location, right in front of the pier! Staff super friendly, english and spanish speakers, super nice atmosphere,  is possible to book boatour on the hostel, barbecues on the weekends, the owner was born and rise on the island, so he has the best tips!

AMAZING!

I am not really into Hostel accommodation even knowing they are the best place to make nice friends to do a lot of interesting things together! Hostels are amazing! But the lack of comfort for me is imperative. Although from time to time I opt to be in one or another once the reason is very important as the wedding of a very special friend in this case.

I do not want to spoil their work but in order to cooperate to level up their hostel, few things I can help them thinking since I were in the past manager of hotel and I believe I can cope for that.

1st - smile! The cute surfiest-like receptionist seemed to be not fit for this post that demands smiles and sympathy; this post is one of the most important one in the business; it will give the first REAL impression of the place; so the person at that post should be gentle, sympathetic a true host; there was a chubby boy who used to be at night there and he was VERY sympathetic and helpful. He should be the one at the reception post.

2nd - play fair. before talking about money, show the place; let the guest known about their room, the common toilets, the lack of towels, the lack of blankets; actually all of that could be said on their website. 

3rd - before opening be sure safety was held properly; I spotted a lot of loose wires running along the building; definitely it is was not well-installed and short circuit and electroshocks will be probable their at certain point. The building was not properly built and water from the rain was flooding the both stories; there is a lack of engineering planing and I doubt the building are within the minimum parameters of safety.

4th - cleanness. our room was ok but the toilets were not; with only two toilets for more than 20 people that would have to change soon.

5th - food. the breakfast was poor and rushy. I understand the island does not give much options and most have to be imported from the continent but it could be better arranged.

It would not be an option for me again since in the island there are better options but eventually they might fix all these issues and offer better experiences. At least is what I wish for them.

They will have to work hard to achieve a standard level

A Brazilian friend had booked for me, she made a good choice! The hostel was typical. Everyone was nice and super nice! I had a nice stay there. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's a shame that the wifi doesn't work when it rains (me when the sun is blue after reflection! ahh) To discover during a visit to Ilha Grande for a small budget!

The best hostel I've ever been to! very nice, lavish bathrooms, barbaric breakfast in relation to the price! the best Marcus, the owner apart from the excellent deal always pointed us to the best things to do on the island!

The room was ok and I liked the bathrooms (they were always clean). The breakfast is regular, but the staff is really nice and helpful, and the hostel is very well positioned.
Overall, it's a simple place to stay, but worth it because of the price and location.

Good location and nice staff

The hostel is well situated in Brao but has many things to improve, such as the breakfast, the bathrooms (the doors and in one there were no washing machines) and the presentation at the reception.The rooms are generally good, spacious and air-conditioned, the staff is well-disposed and welcoming.

Much for improvement.

I was quite disappointed with the place upon arrival (not what their photos show). It is on a second floor on the beach, but it is in very poor condition. It is a hostel that has just opened and therefore is not well finished yet. I recommend it only for people who want to save money. The rooms are quite good with air conditioning, the 2 bathrooms that are there are well scratched. No windows or ventilation. The order and cleanliness of the place leaves much to say (except for the rooms that were the only good and clean) The owner is very nice, and lets you consume your own alcohol.

It has nothing to do with the photos.

On the other hand, we had two bad experiences for which a guest, who pays to sleep and rest there, should not have passed: two of the three nights we slept there entered the room at night by people not staying at the hostel, we believe that the owner's friends (who roamed the churrasco, reception and hostel constantly without the guests knowing very well who they were and whether hostel staff or not), who had sex in the letters.

It's a lot of experience.

Very nice hostel. There is wifi and climate and everything you need to sleep well and be welcomed on the island. Hostel mainly occupied by young people. Price similar to other hostels but they offer breakfast which is good!
