The team at the Pousada are incredible and Gabi in particular was a great help throughout our stay. English was great and always prompt in communication. The pousada is like a tropical oasis with lots of birds and banana, pineapple, tomatoes and others growing in the garden. The location is an easy stroll to the main places. Gabi was able to arrange a reasonable private transfer from Rio for us that took all the hassle out of travelling. The rooms are perfectly adequate for island life and the mosquito net is a great addition. There is a fridge in the room for keeping some snacks, beers and water. I would highly recommend this pousada.

Great location, pousada and people

Top location because close to Abraao but away from the hustle and bustle of the bars at night... Pousada full of charm with abundant vegetation and small birds of all colors... guaranteed expense! Breakfast on the terrace is just perfect with local food and especially homemade! Our room was a little narrow and a pretty basic comfort (note that all beds are equipped with a mosquito net so it's cool!) but we stayed there only to sleep! I recommend!

I traveled now in February to a large island with my boyfriend, I stayed 5 nights in this spa and it was wonderful, La Posada is beautiful, full of trees and vegetation, close to all the restaurants in Vila do abraão, the hosts who are Yayoi and Nilson are very kind, attentive and really concerned about the comfort and well-being of the guest, who in any situation try to arrange everything in the best possible way and always with a smile on their face, the desires offered by the spa were the best of my trip to Brazil, during my trip I stayed in three different hotels with very different desires including breakfast and the variety of the spa was the one that definitely hosted me, everything rich, a wealth of food, coffee, an exquisite juices!!

A hidden place on a large island which is a few meters from the center without the noise characteristic of the most crowded squares.We stayed 5 days and we fell in love with the place but it is not behind the warmth of its owners.Nilson and Yayoi are two incredible people who try to convey the charm of the island and its history.History apart from the breakfasts, everything homemade and super complete.But you can't ask.

The best place to rest.

La Pousada Casa Grande is highly recommended for many reasons: its owners are charming and always with a smile, the rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is prepared on time and everything is natural and the garden is beautiful. We stayed there for 6 days and exceeded our expectations.

Excellent breakfast and attention.

When we arrived, I didn't get too caught up, but after a few minutes we were delighted! It has some super comfortable bathrooms, with amazing showers and very clean everything. The breakfast is the most, super natural everything and abundant! The juices make them instantly and they are fabulous!! They let us use their kitchen! The owners are the best I can't remember their names, but they are super attentive and well prepared for everything!

It was a pleasure to have spent 1 week in the Posada de Yayoi y Nilson.El Jardin de Yayoi is the result of a very rare edition of the best of the Atlantic Forest!Coffee, bananas, Heliconias, Bromelias and much more!

Staying at the Casa Grande in Abraao was the best decision we could possibly make! Greeted with warmth and hospitality by the owners (they even remembered our names) we couldn't be happier to have chosen this Pousada.
The breakfast was varied and full of self-made deliciousness! The coffee (made by a local coffeemaker) was so good, that we nearly couldn't stop drinking it!
And the owners! Nilson and Yayoi were so friendly and assisted us in everything we've asked them. They were one of the reasons why we decided to stay two more nights (more than planned)!
The house is lovely with a huge garden and lots of wildlife, birds, chicken and of course the owners dog.
The rooms were very luxurious and couldn't have been better :)
I recommend all of you to go there, when on Ilha Grande, it made our experience on the island one of the best we've had on our whole Brazil-trip!!

Amazing in every way!!

We came here by chance and I had such good first impressions that I had to stay. The owners are so kind, make an effort and sit nearby for breakfast, remember your names and give you help and advice every day. 
Breakfast is so good. Homemade cakes, jams, bread, yoghurt and juice. All taste amazing. As well as cheeses, granola and ham. We ate like kings here. And they put out tea and a small cake in the afternoon. A nice touch. 
The rooms upstairs are the best (we stayed in 3 different ones whilst here as they were so booked up it was the only way I could stay!). The family room is incredible. So luxury. 
There is AC, fridge, mosquito nets, beds are re made each day and the linen and towels are good quality. 
I am so pleased to have found this place and the price was much less than some of the other places I asked at. Sad to be leaving tomorrow! 

Amazing place, best breakfast, great hosts

We enjoyed the welcome of our guests who spoke a little French, breakfast with fresh fruit juice and garden products, homemade make-up and especially tea after a busy day. The garden is beautiful and the location is great, outside the center and the noise.
