We stayed here over Christmas and had a lovely stay. Service was excellent - staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good - fresh fruit, cheese and cold cuts, bread and pastries, juice, coffee, and rotating bread/cake options. Since we stayed 5 nights - very much appreciated the rotating selections to augment a good continental breakfast base. Good size pool for the island - great for afternoon dips - and there is a large palm that casts some shade in the afternoon in part of the pool. Our room was basic - and in line with what you might expect on the island. It met our needs. They do have two ocean facing rooms that had we booked earlier, I would have loved to try - with small balconies. The property is right on the beach - and there's a roped off swimming area. There are four restaurants right next door. It's a short (10 minute) walk along the beach into the town where the bulk of the restaurants and shops are. The lobby area has a cooler for drinks for purchase and the prices are very reasonable - at or just slightly more than grocery store prices. It made more sense for us to buy water or beer at the property than to haul it. There is a bag service from the pier (i.e. person with a pushcart on wheels) that I would highly recommend. Save your bags and your back - we didn't know about it there and had the front desk call and get us one for the return trip to the pier.

Great beachfront option with pool

If you like simplicity you are at the right address. The hotel is located at the end of Abraao beach just next to the departure for the T10 and T11 treks that lead to Lopes Mendes beach. The room facilities are very simple but the service is of high quality - Very clean room (washed every day) - The +, Very nice very well maintained swimming pool and hot tub (we haven't seen many establishments with a swimming pool on Abraão a few) - The staff is really super nice and available - Breakfast is very good (there is a choice, the products are cool and a lot of house). We recommend 2 bedrooms with a balcony with views of the beach and the pool.

Very nice small hostel located at the very end of the Canto beach, so quiet while close to all the amenities, nice restaurants; special mention for breakfast: rich, varied and original.

I went with my husband and son. the hotel is nice and clean. the receptionist is super friendly. the breakfast is good and the location is very good as it was the quietest area. the room is also comfortable. very nice posada.

Excellent Posada!

It was my first time on the Big Island and I was surprised by the hostel. It's a simple hostel, but run by the amazing Ale. She's an employee attentive to what every guest needs and that's the difference and I would say the luxury of the hostel.

Wonderful surprise

We were at the inn on December/21 and January/22 is all I have to compliment! Starting with the great service before arrival, always with quick answers on WhatsApp and clarification of all questions. About the inn: foot on the sand, great infrastructure, delicious breakfast, clean rooms every day. Clean and hydrated swimming pool. Tours support, location. We were positively surprised in the new year with a foam for each room to toast and celebrate! We went to the suite with sea view and it was wonderful! Hot shower. Due to the nearby date the people on the beach remembered a very loud noise and despite the noise of the inn not having control over what is done on the beach, the hotel owner attended to the pool, the location. It's just incredible!

I just called the hostel for information about the accommodation and I was very poorly attended by a certain Kesia, she was very unhealthy, uneducated and didn't even want to know what date my accommodation would be, this must be the crisis the economy is going through that is so much talked about! But the tip is, if I've been treated very badly on the phone imagine personally.

Poor attendance

When I booked this tour with my friends I thought I'd give up because I wasn't having a good time and I ended up discouraged, but it was and was the best thing I ever did. A sand foot, a delicious swimming pool, a simple but satisfying breakfast, wonderful restaurants very close by (some almost next door). Close to the center but far from the hustle, (you can get there fast walking through the sand, a delight), the room doesn't have luxury but it has everything we need (good beds, air, hot shower and refrigerator). It will always be my little corner on Big Island.

A warmth

We arrived in a group of eight people. The inn has a good structure and is in a very privileged location. Until then everything is fine. On the second day, the light went out around 1:00 in the morning and the generator was in trouble and it didn't work. The heat and snack was bad.
