We stayed there for 3 days, a friend’s referral. Rooms are quiet, clean and cozy; the setting is very relaxing.
The restaurant is fantastic; Daniela, the chef/owner takes great care of the guests. All the staff is very friendly and caring..

Great place to visit

Perhaps there are better rooms?  We’ve been travelling along the Bahia coast and stayed in some lovely pousadas. Then we arrived here, the most expensive by far so far. They’ve stuck us in a shabby windowless room, dilapidated, old furniture, airless. Instead of a minibar a broken fridge (empty, not even shelves). Very old bathroom and zero toiletries of course. Sand in the bed. Really pretty disgusting at the price.

Good restaurant, awful rooms.

The view from the hotel is amazing.
The food in the restaurant is really good, the best thing about the hotel.

The hotel is way too expensive compared to what you get.
We paid around 170 US $ per. night around Christmas and New Year.
First, we got a room at the very back of the hotel. It seemed like the room had not been in use for a very long time. The smell inside was terrible and generally very humid and dirty. After we complained, we were able to move to a better room after 2 days. The hotel generally needs maintenance. The photos here in Booking.com is really photoshop images. Everything is nice, but nothing compared to what you see on the pictures.
The owner of the hotel is constantly around having an eye on everything, this makes the atmosphere quite tense.

Only book this Pousada for the view and the food, the rest is not worth it.

Very romantic place. Be sure to enjoy full moon dinner. The food it’s very gourmet and outstanding. The kind of food you would find in high end restaurants. This place make you feel like you’re somewhere else different than Ilheus. I love it.

Little gem hidden in Ilheus

Great place!!!! A worderful blend between simplicity/rusticity and sofistication. The restaurant is wonderful, chef de cuisine Dani could be cooking in any other place in the world. And the price is fair enough! She deserves all the prizes received. The acomodations are rustic. If you have a problem to sleep in soft mats, it's worth talking to Dominique before booking, she fits everything! They have different types of rooms, in different locations (some can demand an extra physical effort). The place is on the beach, with many 'lounges' to relax. Good taste on decoration, paysagism, food. It was a perfect week! Excelent staff also!

Amazing experience

Spent a week at this beautiful, quaint location. The location is on the beach, with an onsite swimming pool. The rooms are rustic but charming and clean. The restaurant and staff are excellent. Whether it is a quite private break or a more hectic holiday, the nearby Ilheus caters for both,

Pousada Morro dos Navegantes is very near the airport and equally close to the town, with Supermarkets, banks, churches etc.

The beach is idyllic and a long walk can be rewarded with a beer or cool drink at many of the bars/restaurants along the beac front.

You can eat on the beach while the kids play. It's not the Hilton but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and wonderful food and staff.

The view is great, best thing there. Other than that, the place is good, but lacks some maintenance. 
Bedroom we stayed has no door in the WC, you can imagine the combination of exotic food and no door in the WC...
Speaking of food, is expected that you love cats to the point that you don't care having around half a dozen of them hanging all the time between the kitchen and the restaurant. 
Yes, you eat with cats in your feet or coming back and forth freely from the cooking area.

Cats

I was there for 3 vacation days with my parents and my wife. It's a great place, crusted in nature, with an amazing view, located in front of the beach. The food is awesome, the pool is small but the place is also small. The bungalows are needing maintenance, but nothing caused stress for us. 

I recommend for those who like nature, privacy and relaxing moments. 

Great place with good food

This is a great and romantic-like surprising place, ideal for a wedding. Far from the downtown area, it features wonderful display of chairs and wooden table, oceanfront, surrounded by astonishing coconut trees. The restaurant shows a great menu: I tried the seafood casserole and the boar meat sandwich, both very tasty and served hot. To top it up, I had cognac Valduga with great color to contrast the sunset light flickering on the palm trees. If you want to visit the city, though, it will be a challenge, unless you rent a car. But that adds cost,
