Staying for profesional reasons. Good rooms but very small. Very expensive vs. size of room and services in the hotel. Clean hotel and pool. Nice staff. Breakfast OK but not before 8.30 which is really late. Thin walls = loud noises. 
Location right next to the beach so great for that but far from town !

Good for short stays

I came to this hotel for a few nights while working in the area for about a month.  It's a bit of a plain hotel, but not absolutely terrible.  The front staff doesn't speak any English, but they are more than happy to use Google Translate to communicate with you in English.

There is a plain, Brazilian breakfast, which is all right.  The rooms that we rented had a separate, additional room with a bed, and there was a hot shower available.  There is also a full size fridge, which was quite nice.  The main downside was that there is no way to fully isolate the room from the outside - there is no way to perfectly seal the room, and it's always quite open.  As we were here in the winter, it was quite cold in the room.

My wife also needs to use the internet for her work, and the internet would only intermittently work, and when it did, it was very slow - difficult to even check emails, let alone do any conference or video calls like my wife needed.

During our stay, my wife complained about a large amount of construction work, as rooms were renovated and torn down just a few rooms away.  I don't know why we were placed in rooms adjacent to these activities, since there were other rooms available.  My wife also found some treated mold on the bed, and insisted that we leave.  We ended up staying at an AirBnB for the rest of our time in Brazil, which worked out for the best.  Having a kitchen was quite convenient for us.

Overall, if you are only in the area for a short stay and just need a place to sleep, it's not awful, but I wouldn't recommend it, particularly for longer stays.

It's a nice beach hotel with a restaurant, pool room, bicycle, and bar, and I think it's one of the best in the area.
